Comparing Escada's Candy love to VS's Tease Sugar Fleur

This has some similarities to "Tease Sugar Fleur | Victoria's Secret" , but it is NOT identical as some claim:

- Candy Love has a touch of salt (kind of like in saltwater taffy), and is a bit sharper than Tease Sugar Fleur
- dry-down on Candy Love comes quickly, and is a soft rose + sugary-vanilla candy accord
- dry-down on Tease Sugar Fleur seems to retain more of the bubble gum + candy apple notes
- Candy Love doesn't seem to have as great of longevity or projection as Tease Sugar Fleur does

If you're looking for something more similar to Candy Love than Tease Sugar Fleur is, lasts longer, and is cheaper... try English Rose Garden (more candy-like than the name suggests). It's a great dupe for this one.

Lacks a little something

Not much to say about the scent, it's sweet apple juice and a bit on the synthetic side of red apples. I just wish there had been a little sting to it, that would have made the scent perfect! Some citrus or even pineapple.

As can be expected with these scents, it doesn't last long. If the bottle weren't so clumsy I'd have loved to carry this with me and touch up over the day.
The Body Shop's "Glazed Apple" is very similar.

The name suggests that this is a hybrid of similar-sounding fragrance of a pop singer, whose name may no longer be mentioned, which hums a melody when pressing the spray head (the flacon not the singer) and my ever-popular Prada fragrance.
But far from it, because Candy Love smells, as the company website reveals, like love apples, fairgrounds, and natural ingredients of apple, green mandarin, and hundred-petaled rosea. Hear hear. The vanilla cream is unfortunately not of natural origin but who cares. With the kitschy heart flacon you actually expect plastic, rather than organic quality, although there are also plastic in organic quality, but good.

The apple smells the way Snow White would have liked him, juicy sweet, subtly sugary and completely pleasing, lovely and not a bit dangerous. An apple scent for Eva's younger sister. An apple scent that doesn't stand out in a negative way, with my friend commenting on it with, "What smells so sweet?". I just ignore it, because I like him, so both, the fragrance and of course my friend.

I wore Candy Love to work last week, as it blended wonderfully with the wintry, part-snowy, part-rainy scenery. He does not wear on, blends in light-footed, fragrant skillfully. However, if you are expecting a densely packed sillage monster, you are wrong here. The bottle suits Escada and promises a fragrance that fits in with the series of previous creations. But Candy Love is so much more delicate and innocent, it doesn't party in Rio but rolls through the home happily and unagitatedly, even a little unobtrusively. It's a scent that would have fit either Essence or Juniper Lane. Whether you can smell out the partly natural ingredients now? I would say no. I also barely smell rose, vanilla cream minimally. It remains an almost solinotealer, finely sweet apple scent, no more, no less.

Last week, by the way, I layered it with Le Male Le Parfum, which made for an interesting combination. I'll tell you about the story in a next blog about winter layering experiments

Sweet flowers

The fragrance is a typical escada fragrance, just sweet and fruity. However, something warmer vanilla and sweeter. So right to the name and the fragrance description it does not correspond in my opinion. Nevertheless, it is a nice sweet and fruity fragrance. Price is also top and the bottle is super sweet

Oh, you sugar-sweet bottle! So colorful and different.

Candied apple, vanilla cream? That's mine!

Spray on, sniff, skepticism. I smell apple, fresh rather than candied. Vanilla is added and it becomes a little more delicious. I keep sniffing my wrists and start to fall in love with this delicious apple.

H/S once again disappointing, but still perceptible on clothes the next day.
