Musamam Lattafa 2022

Initial opening freshness is quickly replaced by a woody/resinous scent. As Musamam dries down, the base scent of leather and some smokiness appears. Overall, I'd classify it as a masculine leather scent. The smokiness gradually disappears and you're left with just plain leather. It's not green or raw, just plain leather.

Performance is very good. Was still going strong after 9 hours. Projection is also very good for the first few hours. Given it's price at discounters, Musamam is a very good value. For me, it's OK. Basically just leather and nothing more; kinda boring.

Normally, I am not a bottle victim; in principle, bottles like Animale Animale or Azzaro Decibel do not deter me from making a purchase. With Musamam, it was something different; this bottle immediately caught my interest due to its design and color scheme, and then there was the description: leathery-smoky, so the purchase was practically guaranteed^^

Yes, it was another blind buy, but one I do not regret. I simply love brutal scents, and here I am in the right place.

Musamam starts off very leathery, in the sense of tanned leather and smoke; the smokiness significantly fades in the first 10 minutes, and the rose geranium clearly joins the leather, fitting well into the concept. From the middle, you can still detect saffron and lavender, which bring a bit of sweetness, so the scent lingers for a while until the incense expands more and the fragrance thus fades out woody-resinous.

So, anyone who enjoys scents like Gucci Guilty Absolute and Gucci PH should also find Musamam appealing!

Musamam tries to be a Nouveau Monde by Louis Vuitton in its own way. I wouldn't call it a twin, rather very strongly inspired.

He has done this very well with very simple means and ingredients. However, I must add in defense of the aforementioned fragrance that Louis V. plays in a different league in terms of quality while Musamam is very synthetic, which oddly fits him well. One cannot expect more from a €35 fragrance with an amazing presentation and a very beautiful bottle …

The main structure is an artistically created leather scent, although no leather notes are listed, which is enveloped by fruity elements.

I hadn’t even noticed this bottle. For a while, I had been looking for an intense leather scent at an affordable price after I thoroughly tested Nouveau Monde and fell in love with its DNA. Thanks to my wife for discovering "Musamam | Lattafa / لطافة." This one hits the same note and smells intensely of smoky, dark leather. Additionally, I detect a fruitiness that could very well be blackcurrant, even though it isn’t listed here.

Regarding the current rating, I must say that it is extremely underrated. This becomes clear quickly when you read the statements and reviews. I also rated it much higher overall.

The sillage is especially enveloping in the first few hours. The longevity is also impressive at 8 hours.

Conclusion: If you’re looking for leather, you get a full dose here. But be careful. There are significant fluctuations in price. So keep your eyes open when buying leather.

By no means a scent for weak noses, I initially only perceived incense and never found it too weak, but I learned to appreciate and love the fragrance more and more.
Once you warm up to the scent, there is hardly anything comparable.
