Feminine oud.
Okay, yes, I do like this oud. It is gentle, feminine, perhaps ultra-feminine, like the Thai ladyboy at Emporium who insisted that madame should try this. The rose is here, too, but hidden behind the chamomile. This is how it displays in the opening, but with the time, the oud becomes more prominent, although it never imposes its masculinity.  The oud is there just as a shadow, a suggestion for the sweet, silky flowers. I like it, though not the price. However, considering how long (12+ hours!) those few drops lasted on my wrist, I shouldn't complain. I like it, but still a bit too sweet, like most of the Kurkdjian DNA.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, da, acest oud imi place. Este gingas, feminin, poate ultra-feminin as spune, la fel ca si acel ladyboy Tailandez care a insistat ca Madame sa-l aplice. Trandafirul e si el acolo, dar pitit in spatele musetelului.

The sourness of toner ink or photo drying chemicals
Oud Silk Mood is the only weak link in the truly excellent Oud Moods series and the only one I can't wear without wanting to scrub it off. I've tried several times now to locate the soul of this fragrance but I think I'm about ready to call off the search party.

A signature of the Oud Mood series is the use of unconventional (and kind of ugly or confrontational) accords suggestive of metal, architecture, dust, rubber, or smoke to upholster the rich Laotian oud Kurkdijan uses, but whereas in Velvet and Cashmere Oud Mood these odd notes imbue the perfumes with a funny sort of humanity, in Oud Silk Mood, the quasi-industrial note of photo-developing chemicals just bathes an already sharp, sour rose in an acid bath that does it no good at all.

The acidulated rose and the oud compete with each other for the title of 'most sour', while chamomile lops in a hefty dose of herbaceous bitterness, making things worse. Underneath it all, papyrus adds a dry, papery crackle that really does create a silk-like texture - not the softness of silk but the rustling sound it makes when you rub it between your fingers. High-pitched and brittle, it feels like the fragrance would snap if you could fold it over.

Worse than the drone-strike of sour, though, is the chemical hangover every time I wear it. I don't know if it's synthetic oud or another woody ambery material, but whatever it is proves to bother my nose for hours on end, even when I think I've washed it off. In its unabashedly synthetic character, Oud Silk Mood is too similar to the lower-priced niche options for me to recommend it, and too inferior to the original Oud or even the Cashmere, Satin, and Velvet options for me to ever consider buying even a decant or further sample.

1, 2 OR 3..
...if you're really standing right, you'll see....

I felt much the same way when I looked at my shopping cart on MFK. OUD, OUD SATIN MOOD and SILK MOOD. Now what? Order with payment? I wish right now the light would come on!

Alright, back to square one and analyze the fragrance reviews on the web! The majority clearly prefer Satin Mood followed by Oud. Bringing up the rear is Silk Mood. All right, I'll go with the majority!

Puff! In the end, I decided on a Discovery Set (MFK - OUD Fragrance Wardrobe). The set is not exactly a bargain at around 200 bows, but no matter, at least I had found my inner peace.

And lo and behold, that last one I mentioned based on the reviews, Oud Silk Mood, has become my personal favorite.

Silk Mood is a rose oud fragrance, no question, but I just impressed by its very fresh-spicy and even slightly citrus character. This makes him m. E. something tangier and more suitable for everyday use. He does not lose his elegance thereby. In addition, I can imagine very well to wear Silk Mood all year round. Winner!

Oud: Is a dream of a fragrance! Warm-spicy and woody, with notes of tobacco and leather. Thus suitable for the colder season and my personal place 2.

Satin Mood: A fantastic warm and spicy scent but a bit too sweet for my taste due to the vanilla. Otherwise, some resemblance to oud. Bronze Medal.

Fact is, the Oud collection from the house of MFK is luxurious and unique. All 3 fragrances are implemented fantastically beautiful. The Oud DNA, of the 3 fragrances, is identical and initially slightly medicinal.

Conclusion: 1, 2 AND 3!

Soothing in the wrong sense.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that our everyday life and our habits and routines are currently subject to severe restrictions and, above all, changes. Short-time work, less social contacts, hobbies that fall flat for the time being, older family members with whom you talk on the phone every day to prevent them from being too lonely and so on and so on ...
As far as I'm a student, I can say that I'm currently very happy to still be living at home at the age of almost 25 - even if I regularly curse it a little - and not have to worry about rent payments or a possible collapsing existence. Nevertheless I am not deeply relaxed. I can see how some fellow students who no longer live at home can't sleep well at night (many have temporary jobs and were the first to be fired), writing homework is currently a cramp because of closed libraries (you somehow manage it anyway), and whether the summer semester, which is planned as a pure online semester (with 20,000-30,000 students), will really work is still in the stars. So it needs something to calm you down a bit every now and then. While this may be the alcohol for some of my fellow students (yes, clichés and such), I prefer to resort to olfactory miracle cures. "Oud Silk Mood" was the perfect choice when looking at the pyramid of scents, as it was the camomile, which is said to have a certain calming effect, that caused a lot of expectations.

In general, "Oud Silk Mood" appears softer than the heavy, very sweet and for most situations simply too pompous "Oud Satin Mood". A softer appearance is only related to the fragrance character, but not to the Sillage, because this is also brute over large parts of the fragrance, but socially more acceptable, because the vanilla and violet club is not swung here.
Freshly sprayed on, I am greeted by an absolutely unsweet, very grown up, but for me almost too old-fashioned rose. It is very clean - similar to "Lyric Man" - but for me it is much too watery and soapy. Rose water or rose soap are simply not my cup of tea, even if I like to smell the flower behind it. But since I'm sitting at home in front of my laptop anyway, desperately browsing through the online library of my university and not having to or being able to socialize with people, I have enough time to devote myself to the scent process in a more concentrated way than usual.
The initially very loud rose is quickly restrained a little by the chamomile and loses the rose water character that disturbs me. The oud is also present, but - and this is typical for Kurkdjian - it is very restrained and mass-compatible. There is nothing animalistic, medical or bitter here. It simply smells dry-woody, rather unspectacular - almost boring. The camomile should also appear a bit stronger, but unfortunately it doesn't. Unfortunately, I don't notice anything of papyrus. That's it with the scent, which can be described briefly with the adjective "boring".
"Oud Silk Mood" has an extremely promising scent pyramid, but - and this is particularly clear here - reality and scent pyramid are two different pairs of shoes. The camomile is there - yes, it is. But the dose here is a joke. Papyrus? Uh... where, please?

In the end, the composition is merely, without meaning it badly, one of those inflationary thrown on the market, meanwhile lost all its charm. Most of them smell pretty much the same, are confusable, not at all special and yet not seldom sinfully expensive. Reassuring, especially in the current situation in which we all find ourselves, the whole thing is somehow already, but only because it is to fall asleep. Mr Kurkdjian has more interesting things in his portfolio.

Secrets and subtle surrealism.
I received a bottle of this fascinating fragrance from a dear "Parfumo". Thank you, dear O. !!!
And I have now taken it to heart. And it is anything but a bore in rose and oud, as there are dozens. There are roses in it - and oud too. But so cleverly combined with other notes that it seems almost surreal. These "green fragrances", which have so much to offer in terms of maritime-Mediterranean freshness, as if they were a "perfume within a perfume". Whispering secrets to my nose and my mind. Subtle powders of woody silk, hidden beneath the twilight. The green beckons - macchia magic with blue tansy! And the moist, water-loving papyrus. Scrolls from "the ancient Greeks" on which fairy tales are told? Fine roses, not exuberant - tart-sweet, red and slightly fruity. Dark woods - aromatic oud - tart - rounded off with lighter, mild gujak wood. And this mysterious green always hovers over everything. With a hint of citrus that lingers until the end...
I haven't felt a "rose oud fragrance" this great for a long time!

A sour/“tangy” oud with a heavy floral component. Smells oddly bright for an oud fragrance. The rose registers more as green rather than jammy.

Moderate rose/citrus opening, blends with oud and green accords in drydown. More versatile than it's given credit IMO. Better than Extrait.

A fresh and slightly green, powdery spicy-floral Spring fragrance, balanced by a gentle dusty dry-woody base. Brighter than Oud Satin Mood.

Fixes all of the original Satin moods problems: Gets rid of that funk and odd fruity note and becomes a more smooth, wearable Oud rose 10/10

The opening is quite harsh and a bit blue but it dries down to a powdery floral-wood scent with a smokey backbone that smells more natural.
