Gift under the Coating
Christmas is slowly coming, and I am longing for fragrances fitting to my festal mood. This is exactly, what I get from OAJAN.

Pie, honey cake, cinnamon, sugar-coat. OAJAN presents you generously his sweetness and broad smile. Not only you, but everyone who stays in the same airspace with you. Be careful, if you have guests, they will expect cake from you :-) Top is a whirl driving you deep in acceptance of OAJAN.

Enormous richness is buried under the coating. Woods, spices, divine davana, almond, resins, a totally gourmand fragrance, which is still more complex than a normal gourmand. Heart is the real miracle here. Base is simplier and easy to understand the overflowing sweetness, vanilla kicks out others from the ropes.

I tested it before going to German lessons, and learning and concentrating was a really tough task.

Conclusions after testing (and falling in love with) OAJAN:
- strong, not feasible for daily wear, and especially not for business issues
- unisex
- winter fragrance
- comparable perfume: NOEL AU BALCON
- hopeless fact against acceptable financial status: I want a full bottle.

Honey Cake
Yes, Oajan smells very much like Ambre Narguile and its counterparts Helium and Or du Serail (and Haram, though I don't remember it well.) What is different? For one, Oajan has the strongest sillage and longevity of all those mentioned above. It is also quite expensive but you get more for your money than with Ambre Narguile. However, AN has a smoother character and is overall just a little bit better done than Oajan. Oajan is sour and honeyed with some cinnamon (wish it had more cinnamon) and benzoin. There is a strange liqueur-like character to it.

I would recommend Oajan for sweet-lovers and lovers of Ambre Narguile-type scents but don't find that AN lasts or projects enough. Do you need both? I do, but I don't think the average person does. If you want an "expensive" smelling prestige creation, go for AN. If you want a sillage monster that lasts all day, do the Oajan.

The greatest spicy scent
That’s MY opinion on this one. From the first time I smelled it, I absolutely HAD to have it. The only thing that prevented me from grabbing it right there on the spot the first time was that my wife wasn’t as into it as I was. I finally grabbed.

With spice heavy scents, you really have to enjoy the style. Spicebomb, Burberry, etc. If you don’t like the “spice cabinet” vibes they give, you won’t like them. This one EXPONENTIATES that. Such a rich feeling it gives with such high quality notes. The cinnamon is absolutely GORGEOUS. It takes gourmand to a new level.

Projection is fantastic, going 3-4ft in radius for an easy 8 hours, and the sillage trail you’ll leave behind will leave people longing to know where it is coming from, and where you went. It checks ALL the boxes in this department.

It’s a staple for well dressed special events in colder weather, and you will SHINE when you use it.

Try before you buy, but if you like Spicebomb Extreme, and want a comparison, this one would be named “Nuclear Spice Ultimate”.

A welcoming scent
You know what they say if you want to sell your house you’ve got to bake an apple pie, so the smell makes you feel at home. This fragrance also makes this friendly welcoming gesture. Maybe it’s not exactly apple I’m smelling but it’s definitely got that vibe with its cinnamon and vanilla. Definitely gourmand going on here.

I’ll put this in the same category as "Angels' Share | Kilian" . I find these fragrances both smelling incredible and they paint this festive kind of painting when you close your eyes.

I read people complaining about longevity but I have no issues with it. In the Christmas holidays I wore it sometimes smelling it all day long.

Review based on a sample from the discovery set in 2024.

A man's spicy apple juice during Christmas
I've been hearing about Oajan and how it smells like Christmas spirit and spicy apple pie. Now that we're in the week and days leading up to Christmas, I had to try it for myself and see if it was true.

Definitely more masculine to me, which is the reason why I won't be getting it, but it's a very nice scent nonetheless. Warm, comforting and all-around lovely to wear for comfort, but also for feeling elegant and put-together. It really does have that Christmas vibe I heard about. Instead of smelling like apple pie though, it smells like spiced apple juice to my nose, even though there's no apples in the notes. Breaking it down, I have the impression cinnamon is why our nose picks up on an apple vibe. Honey is also present, giving a sirupy, almost liquorish aspect to the fragrance. The middle notes are all about warmth and an ambery, resinous accord. The drydown has some powdery vanilla and tonka beans. Davana is a strong note on my skin (always has been when I've encountered the ingredient in fragrances). It reinforces the liquor and adds a touch of exotic spiciness. Patchouli finally adds some woodiness at the end of its drydown.

Like I mentioned previously, it leans masculine to my nose due to the spicy aspect and the liquorish facet I'm getting which is why I won't be getting it. I do have to say though, it's a great cold weather choice for a man and I wouldn't mind smelling it on somebody else's skin. Try it out for yourself!

Gourmand lovers can safely blind-buy this knowing their colder months will be filled with warm apple cinnamon pie and plenty of honey.

A nice smelling gourmand. Slightly on the cloying side. It's nice, but I don't think I'll commit to a bottle.

Oajan opens with a lot of cinnamon and honey. Then I get amber, benzoin and tonka bean. Also a bit of vanilla in the base. Good performance.

Common cinnamon-honey-tonka recipe, but of elevated quality. Well-engineered to suit the masses' taste and desire for indiscreet loudness
