Minimal and classy
This perfume could be similar to a White silk shirt: minimal, but very elegant and classy.
Iris notes are noticeable and the ensemble is well balanced and pleasant. It's a powdery scent, but not too much because neroli and citruses give a particular modern freshness. The price is high, but the product and the bottle too are very very good

Enchanting, lovely powdery cleanliness
Remembered I smelled this in the past and regretting that I didn't buy it then (still regret that because I think it was a bit cheaper then), it was a long time ago though, so I sampled first to see if I would still love it and, oh my, I do!!! Bought a full bottle immediately.
And really: I think I'm ready now, this completes my collection, in fact this could well be my signature.
I find this scent beyond gorgeous!! It actually is what I love in Chanel 19 but with something kind and feminine added that I sometimes miss in Chanel 19 (guess I should have bought the 'poudre' version of Chanel 19 maybe, but I don't need to bother now, having both Chanel 19 and Infusion d'Iris).
Love the sillage of this, I get these beautyful, enchanting wafts with every movement.
It is so clean in such a beautyful, angelic, versatile way!
Opening is a little citrussy, but in a soft feminine way, not sharp. Then that lovely Iris come's through, not the paper-kind of Iris and not the too sweet/powdery Iris, but a fresh Iris, perfectly balanced between those two.
Oh, such a lovely powder this is, a cool, not stuffy powder.
Uplifiting but also calming. Soft and gentle but not aloof.
Sillage I find much better than rated and I can smell it many hours after spraying.
Perfection! So happy with this scent!

Edit: Really LOVE this, woke up to the beautyful smell this morning, it really has way better longevity and sillage then rated in my opinion, or maybe it's my chemistry, but usually perfumes don't last on me this long. And the scent is lovely at first spray, but even gets better and better, the longer it is on my skin!

Edit II: Still love it, but I've noticed one shouldn't overspray this scent and not too close to the nose because this is a scent one can easily get nose-blind to. I guess that explains the relatively low ratings for sillage and longevity.
Edit III: Problem solved with Ceravé Intensive Moisterizing bodylotion as a base, I could smell it all day.

A soft classic
This is a scent I've been chasing in my mind, for a long while. God truly knows for how long, since I can't remember anymore.

Iris is such a delightful note that can have so many shapes and presentations, and i became obsessed with it. For my birthday, i decided to buy some decants of perfumes with prominent iris notes. This perfume, of course, had to be part of it. I just needed to try this one.

At first spray, the scent reminded me of old people tastes in perfumery, but in a good way: the vintage feeling of thinking of my grandmother, and what she might have smelled like, if this existed back then. Then, as if the perfume knew that i am not old enough, the scent turned into something sweeter, the benzoin became stronger (which is natural on me, as my skin chemistry turns sweet notes and intensifies them). As it started to wind down, the musk and cedar appeared, making this an excellent closing moment.

This is not a sillage monster, compliment-getter, lady-magnet that will make you rich because a rich man smelled it on you on a fatidic day. This is calm, relaxing, simple, unassuming. It only wants to bring you comfort.

Great scent for when the world is too harsh.

Elegant, powdery, mature
Lately, I've been acquiring fragrances that I wouldn't necessarily purchase myself, if at all. I have been blessed to be #gifted so many that I am grossly behind on reviewing them and taking photos, but one that really stood out was Infusion d'Iris. Besides the beautiful bottle, many of you have recommended it to me as well. Infusion d'Iris is a powdery fragrance, so I had my doubts, but this is how it went...

On paper, the scent is very mature from the get go. It does have a slight mandarine top note, but the thickness and powderiness of the fragrance makes it far from fresh, but elegant and, how I only can describe it, mature. After dry down, the scent is less thick than it was in the beginning. What is revealed is an elegant, smooth and sophisticated fragrance. It has a slight peppery undertone, but very faint. Perhaps from the benzoin.

On skin, Infusion d'Iris is even more rich in mandarin, which I really like. It gives it a light hearted freshness. After dry down, the mandarin fizzles away, but the scent isn't as powdery and thick as it was on paper. I find it quite difficult to describe. It is powdery, but also so many other things. I would give it a "freshly washed linen" quality, but not as realistic and simple as in Clean fragrances.

Months later, I am revisiting the fragrance, because I haven't finished my review and... I actually haven't worn it either. Infusion d'Iris is just not me and I have learned to let go. Gone are the days where the collection has to be as big as possible. I really only want to own fragrances that I love.
Goodbye Infusion d'Iris.

Fluffy bedsheets and bicycle tires
The initial cloud smells the way a cottage cheese bar tastes. Is it even a thing outside of post-Soviet countries? It's basically curd cheese blended with sugar, and usually covered in chocolate. It's a rather gentle sweet flavor with a peculiar freshness to it. Creamy, but with a somewhat crumbly texture. Ugh, now I want one. Or five. Or ten, if they weren't so expensive nowadays...

That cloud fades pretty quickly and leaves behind a clean powdery scent with pretty realistic iris (the pale lilac kind whose petals become almost white closer to the stem) and some vague bits of citrus (no idea what kind, but it's there). Childhood bedsheets washed with a weird kind of fabric softener that they don't make anymore. Fluffy, neat.

This scent is visible in the wearer's immediate vicinity, doesn't leave a lasting trail, dissipates less than an arm's length away. It's cozy and soft and makes me want to get closer. And when I sniff it up close, there is something else – a secret waiting to be discovered. Want to try and guess it?

Well, it's bicycle tires.

I don't know what exactly mixes this way or why, but some part of this composition smells like bicycle tires to me. At first I thought that something was wrong with my nose, but when my partner sniffed me, he said the same thing unprompted. So there's that. It's not unpleasant, just... weird. Kind of fun. Nostalgic!

Still, weird. Sun-baked. Rubbery. That particular scent slowly gets stronger and stronger during the first ~30 minutes, then starts to fade. Soon follows the iris. What's left settles on skin after the first ~1,5 hours, and in another hour dries down to the base. Clean, soft, slightly fuzzy. Musky, faintly sweet. At this point – more creamy than powdery. In ~2 more hours it fades entirely.

Simplistic, but memorable and fascinating. I'm happy I've tried it, even if I will not wear it again.

Beautiful powdery / soapy iris and neroli. It smells exactly like 5/stars hotel soap in the 90s... very beautiful and nostalgic ?

This is what I wear after I take a shower and get into bed with freshly washed sheets and pillow cases. The cleanest and purest scent.

Now this is what I call a tasteful iris for the office. Sadly the theme got recycled so often that nowadays it feels a bit too standard

Soft powder + soapiness infused with fresh orange, iris... and a buttload of woods. Why not more iris? Gets more orangey as it dries down.

Nice but nothing special. A soapy version of Cedrus by Chloe. A bit vintage smelling. Not for me.
