L'Homme in the summer leisure edition

Another comment on a fragrance that I already own many weeks and has earned a few lines. The original L'Homme I have years and this I have very very cheap shot in the offer. Otherwise, I would not have gotten the or tested, because it is supposed to fly quickly and be too close to the original. Fortunately, the moved in with me. 50ml for around 30 euros. Otherwise, you get this for around 40 euros. Even the larger sizes are affordable.

Before I come to the fragrance a few words about Prada: One of my favorite brands in the designer sector. One gets partly niche quality for far below value. The L'Homme/La Femme range, Infusion range and many more. Most have that clean classy Prada touch that the Daniela Andrier executes imemr well. Casual fans are also catered for with the Luna Rossa and Candy range. Great range for good prices.
The L'Homme series is a superstar in the fragrance community. In the "normal" life rather still unknown, because it is rather an insider tip which is still rather unknown. I was often asked about the L'Homme in my environment, because they also wanted to get this fragrance. And they have it too. A fragrance with a special aura. Who would like to have only one of this series should get the EdT. A fresh all-season fragrance with that certain something, which performs really really well. The Intense is also great, but the color of the bottle says a lot: A dark scent with lots of patchouli and some sweetness. A great choice for the evening / night, if you like to smell linear.

Now after a few words about Prada and the L'Homme range to the actual fragrance: the L'eau.Basically I love L'eau flankers as they are just very easy to wear in hot temperatures. Also this one. The original is already very good for spring and summer, but not the best choice for really hot/warm temperatures thanks to strong spiciness. Here it has been wonderfully toned down. patchouli has been toned down and lots of neroli has been added. It now just smells very summery, light and like a good mood. There is also a little sunscreen vibe to it. The DNA from the original is always present, but these little changes make a lot of difference. That fresh powder is lovely. For me with the best top note on the market, as far as fresh fragrances are concerned.
Where the EdT is fine for serious everyday wear, this L'eau is perfect for casual wear on warm days. It just has a very sensual touch to it. Also, this L'eau is the most unisex out of this range. In the statements, some find him too feminine, which I do not find at all.

Performance usually suffers from such fresh updates, of course. Also here. The EdT is Beastmode. Among the fresh fragrances a king. This is only mediocre, but absolutely sufficient for leisure. 5 hours he holds loosely through with initially very good sillage. However, you can't over-spray this fragrance either: a softly sensual scent that never becomes too much even with a few too many sprays. However, this is also due to this beautiful gentle summery DNA.
For me, all 3 are worthwhile: the EdT, this L'Eau and also the Intense. Each is a king on its field of application. The most beautiful top note has in my opinion but as I said this L'Eau. Who wants to keep his collection small and have only one: Take the EdT. That always goes and convinces with fierce performance.

In the shadow of the original!

Why is that? Because I think that this is a really excellent scent!

This one makes the noble & pleasing DNA from the original EDT perfect for spring and summer! In general, it looks a little ploddier than the "normal" L'homme and at the same time fresher, which makes it fit for the mentioned seasons. I think it smells really exciting for a summer scent - no boring citrus scent or the like. This could be due to the luxuriously plush nature, but also to the light ginger note, which is, however, very noticeable.

I was positively surprised by the performance as well as the fragrance itself: for a rather fresh scent I find it quite acceptable, at least on my skin. More precisely, this means that I can enjoy 6-7 hours of durability - the projection was also quite good and was present for 1-2 hours after application - even after that it is still clearly perceptible.

Moreover, the fragrance seems to be well received - I have received one or two compliments for this fragrance. Apart from that I would say that in warmer weather the fragrance works in principle in all situations. As a pure "office scent" it is similar to the original (sample) but really too bad, since it can do much more!
Here I would give a clear recommendation to buy - a really great, high-quality and not boringly smelling fragrance for the warmer seasons! It's a pity that it is often outshone by its noisy brothers - at least this great fragrance doesn't deserve this.

Typical clashing-cool Prada high-tech DNA, intercepted somewhat powdery

Yes, it is this high-tech atmosphere that has characterized Prada men's fragrances, especially in recent years. You feel a bit far from the earth, more like floating around on a space station, cool and somehow technically high-gloss metallic-clean - that's how the perfumes look.

I deliberately don't use the word "synthetic", even though this fragrance has to be bursting with it in the end, but it's different in design than the usual uniform mush in the shower gel mainstream.
Prada already has its own laboratory recipes, which at least have recognition value.

Iris, of which abundant in powder, Neroli, which at least is not recognizable as naturally extracted and rather resonates underground. Above all a metallic, quite clear, but also unquestionably antseptic, seemingly unapproachable, somehow blue-grey shining veil.

Not uninteresting in its effect, although I think after 2-3 days of wearing it might be quite annoyed. The whole thing is too cyberly for that, too obviously assembled from non-lifelike aromas. Somewhat better and more original than many new releases, but nothing more.

I'm sweet and powdery like a... lipstick?

Yeah, here comes the second flanker of Prada's new L'Homme series. Somehow this fragrance series seems to have a hard time especially here on Parfumo, as it reminds us of certain fragrances, especially the Dior Homme series, and everyone immediately screams "Dupe". I already mentioned in my comments to the other L'Homme fragrances that you are all absolute screamers here, so I am used to your screaming anyway :DD

I wonder if this is the reason why nobody wants to write a comment on the latest Flanker? Do I always have to do everything alone? :DD Tsss... thankless beings, all of them. Well then, here's another reason why you can scream (or just get annoyed...): This... scent... here... is... even though it's now the third scent in the line and some of you still seem to wonder if it's a joke... pretty... good! :DD

Because the Prada fragrances here are not quickly made cheap mainstreamers (although a mainstream fragrance doesn't have to be bad and many are pretty good!) who might want to copy a great competitor's fragrance line, but rather well made perfumes that can easily keep up with Dior's fragrances.

Now it's my turn to give my opinion on the L'Eau version. Normally I would compare it even more closely than now with the normal EDT of 2016, but unfortunately the flacons of these fragrances have always been empty lately, so I can't write a detailed comparison, but that doesn't matter, because in my opinion, as far as I can remember, the fragrance is quite similar to the EDT, of course with some small differences.

The fragrance:

Now that you know the L'Hommes to some extent, you immediately recognize the DNA of the new Prada fragrances. Or you might catch yourself looking at the bottle again to make sure you're holding Prada or Dior in your hands, as the scent is quite reminiscent of Dior Homme EDT with a few minor differences.
So it starts sweet and powdery with iris and... well, I'm not quite sure where the sweetness is "caused" from, but it's probably the combination of iris and scents like amber. Thus the fragrance is also reminiscent of a lipstick or make-up in general, as some here sometimes say.
Only a little bit later a fragrance appears which is different from L'Homme EDT: The ginger. This is only short, but in my opinion it can be clearly smelled during this time. But as I said, it only stays for a short time and in this short time sprays a small, herbaceous, well, ginger note (well, you know for sure how ginger smells... and its fragrance is more beautiful than its taste, I think! :D). But soon he moves into the background again, because he is caught up and overlaid by the sweet and powdery notes again. For a while you can smell the ginger at least still weakly at the sprayed place, if you sniff very close to the skin.
Hmm... Neroli... yes, I think that's available, with a little concentration and also imagination, but easily it won't be able to smell him out!
Anyway, it smells sweet, powdery and soft later, too, so in the base it's only sweet, powdery and soft, and it always reminds of the EDT of L'Homme (or even of Dior Homme), only with the difference (now apart from the ginger) that there's no patchouli appearing here and the fragrance appears a little bit more soft and powdery. And this makes it easier to recognize the Prada-typical, clean note throughout the entire fragrance process, even though the L'Homme fragrances are generally little to not soapy in contrast to other Prada fragrances such as d'Iris Cèdre and so on.

The Sillage and the shelf life:

The Sillage is also on the same level as Dior Homme. Hmm... I'm starting to piss you off by mentioning Dior Homme all the time? If yes, then,... oh, I don't really care (oh.... So I think you lose your fans, waaaah!!!!!).
Anyway, the scent can be smelled on you, but not on long distances, but the Sillage remains on the same level for some time without weakening immediately.
Its durability is good, but it has the shortest durability of any of the three fragrances yet, which means nothing as it still has a good shelf life of seven to eight hours.

The bottle:

The flacon is again the same flacon, which results in a large "D" when viewed roughly from above. The front side is flat while the back side is semi-cylindrical, whereby this time the artificial leather on the back side has turned light blue. On the front side you can see the Prada lettering and the logo. The lid is chrome plated, but unfortunately not magnetic, which would have been cooler. A beautiful and also very high-quality bottle.

Soo, that would finally test this L'Homme, too. And I have to say that these fragrances are still pretty good because they smell very nice. I would have liked the differences to the other two L'Homme fragrances to be more pronounced, for example with a stronger and clearly smellable Neroli note or something, because as beautiful as the fragrance is, it still reminds a bit too much of the L'Homme EDT, so that users of the EDTs actually have no real reason to buy. The same applies to anyone who has the EDT from Dior Homme (or an older version of DH Sport, not the synthetic new DH Sport). Of course this is only my opinion, but for me the scent smells just as similar as the mentioned scents.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't consider the fragrance a twin of L'Homme EDT, because the patchouli makes a real difference when you smell it exactly
Apart from that it smells very nice as I said and is suitable as a beautiful all-rounder, which could be used both for daily use and for going out, whereby I would actually reach for the Intense when going out. But you can use this one on warmer days, too, while the Intense is too heavy and only comes across better in autumn or winter.

Everyone here who now screams that this fragrance may have been unnecessary may be right, yes, but don't forget that this doesn't mean that the fragrance is worse because of it. No, for me this fragrance belongs to the really great made men fragrances, which is worth a look... or better said a nose! Even if powdery and after lady lip sticks (uh... are there actually also men lip sticks? :DD) smelling smells should not meet everyone's taste...

And the screamers... oh you will continue to scream and moan anyway, at the latest when next year the third Flanker should appear :D

The younger, naughty brother of L'Homme

I am a little surprised that L'Homme Leau is given so little attention, unlike L'Homme and L'Homme Intense.
Because I find the fragrance composition quite ingenious. Take L'Homme and add ginger and a fresher note. The result is a powdery fresh fragrance with a slightly oriental scent. The whole is rounded off by a floral note.
The result is a bold but at the same time suitable for everyday use, which makes the wearer smell simply clean and noble.
The whole thing is best worn in spring/summer, while L'Homme is more suited to the autumn and winter seasons
