Honest opinion
Its name “Ocean” is certainly deceiving, but I quite enjoy what Prada has done with this Luna Rossa flanker! I admit that this is not your average blue fragrance and lacks anything remotely aquatic; however this is unique with depth. I also own the OG, Carbon, and Black and this and Carbon by far my favorite. I believe this is worthy of higher rating than what it has.

Where's the Ocean?
Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Toilette doesn't strike me as a primarily aquatic scent. Its opening is pretty synthetic, but that doesn't last long, as it immediately turns into a spicy and fresh mix of bergamot and pink pepper. Minutes after, the fragrance brings some herbaceous notes into play, like the sage and mugwort, and you also get a nice lavender and iris undertone. But as for the saffron or suede leather, my nose can't pick either.

As it settles down, the musk, vetiver and patchouli, a classic combination of notes, take over to make for a dry, fresh and musky finisher. It's pleasant, overall; inoffensive, spicy, citrusy, fresh, but also pretty boring. I've smelt much more interesting and pleasing fresh fragrances.

Longevity is pretty decent, actually, especially for an eau de toilette concentration. At least on my skin, I got about 6-7 hours of longevity. But by the 3 hour mark, the fragrance had already turned into a skin scent, so I'd go for about 6-8 sprays on a wearing, especially since projection (for me) is very poor here. I constantly asked friends around if they could smell my fragrance, but the only way they could feel it is by shoving their nose onto my neck. Only the first half an hour to maybe an hour you get some better projection; around a feet or so. But in the end, fresh fragrances, especially eau de toilette concentrations, aren't known for beastly projection or extreme longevity.

For occasions, I'd say Luna Rossa Ocean would be great for everyday wear during the summer and/or spring. You can wear it leisurely, at school, at work, or at sports/gym. Given its poor projection and simple, fresh, clean scent, it won't offend anyone. But if you are looking to get people's attention, then this is definitely not the fragrance you're looking for.

However, I do believe that there are better fresh fragrances out there that can be had for the money. Better fragrances that stick out more and nail the aquatic, oceany type of feel better. If you enjoy Luna Rossa Ocean's DNA, but wish for better projection, then maybe the Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum might treat you better. But I can't say much regarding that, as I haven't tested the eau de parfum variant.

Regardless, this is a decent fragrance for casual, summer wear, but it's forgettable, and it's just not good enough to justify itself over the many other options out there.

Not bad at all!
I think I've had or tried pretty much the whole Luna Rossa line, and I can not say that this one is either better or worse than the others. It starts with these days quite a "standard" citrus-pink pepper combo and this opening is very similar to the new Davidoff Cool water parfum which I quite like. These two are actually very similar, laying on a woody base with maybe more musc in the LR Ocean. The LR Ocean has some aroma chemicals (or their combo) in the heart which are a bit unpleasant to my nose but I can not identify which note gives this effect. The iris note that you can find in the Fragrance Notes is not prominent, and I can hardly recognize it. Anyway, amounts are nowhere near the Prada L'homme or Dior Homme etc. where the powdery iris (and iris-like aroma chemicals) are quite dominant. I must say that I have a feeling that the Cool Water-parfum is better blended and I can not help myself but to compare these two all the time. I also think that CW has a slightly better performance, especially when taking the price into account CW would definitely be the winner in this duel. These two are also similar and could be an alternative to the new Dior Homme 2020, again citrus-pepper-woody(vetiver)-fresh masculine notes, but I would say Dior (Demachy) has done it way better. Nevertheless, LR Ocean is a nice modern fresh-masculine fragrance but not original or unique in any way.

Fresh yes Blue no
Great fragrance. Fresh and clean with powerful top notes. The opening is strong and even the heart notes are also intense with lavender and iris to take the lead out of it.When it drops down to the base becomes somehow powdery but iris still has a very high percentage of the pie together with musk.
It is a crowd pleasing fragrance since it combines safe notes of freshness such as Bergamot,Pink pepper, lavender, iris and musk.
It is also decent in terms of longevity (5-6 hours on me at least) with a moderate projection.
The scent is really great but for sure does not justify the ocean title.
Overall we can talk about a decent fresh fragrance with a good-not great performance but nice to have especially in summer/spring months.

Fresh and Clean
It's a Great scent, Fresh, Powdery, Aromatic and Smooth. This is a linear fragrance, But it smells so good and very pleasant. It opens up with like fresh spicy, herbal and floral notes in the background then dry down is green musky.
It is suitable for the spring, summer and fall. I love Luna Rossa Ocean Prada EDT for Men and I'm so happy that I have it in my collection.
Two Thumbs Up.

Synthetic, fresh and spicy opening, after which it dries down to a dry, musky/vetiver aroma. Nothing special, tbh; same goes for projection.

Surprisingly good! Lavender bomb with a slightly sweet base and a soapy clean vibe. Very decent. It lacks longevity but the smell is good!

Paco Rabanne Invictus in a Prada bottle. Like LR Carbon is to Dior Sauvage, this is a gentler version.

This and Le Parfum, only Ocean releases I acknowledge. Nothing marine about it, but it’s a very “Prada” take on the bleu genre.

The bergamot felt synthetic, the greenery too sharp, and the musk too aldehydic. Ironically, this EDT is stronger than the EDP.

Smells kinda like versace dylan blue and abercrombie first instinct blue man. Really not as bad as all the negative feedback it gets.
