Ayurkenntjeder
When my travel package from Rituals arrived, I was very pleased, as I have always had very pleasant experiences with the brand while browsing in shopping centers and the like. And I am still optimistic that a few of the new "The Ritual of..." offshoots will suit me. A little calming and meditation is always good. Unfortunately, neither "Ayurveda" nor "Jing" were particularly good starts this week...

"The Ritual of Ayurveda" reminds me of rosy infusions in the sauna and is one of the more transparent honeyed scents of recent times. Pink, gentle, shallow. A pond and spirit fragrance. Clearly more feminine. For me, it’s a thornless, slightly green rose in a tub full of pink bath foam. Rapunzel, let down your innocence. Good and smooth, naked and compact. It captures the philosophy of Rituals well in a bottle. But it doesn’t blow me away.

Bottle: (bath) chic
Sillage: delicate and never out of character
Longevity: wellness-like 4 hours only

Conclusion: the creamy-green "scent of Ayurveda," which is interpreted here quite finely and of high quality olfactorily, is unfortunately only very limitedly my thing... I actually like rosy scents. This one is just a bit too shampoo-like and shower-like for me.

Sweet and fresh at the same time - a successful blend
I discovered this fragrance in the Rituals shop. I have tested many body sprays and quickly decided on Chakra Water.

The scent smells very natural; from the very beginning, you can constantly perceive the very fresh rose, which is supported by sweet honey. Towards the end, however, the rose slightly fades, making it a bit sweeter.

For a body spray, the longevity is very good; I experienced 7-8 hours, and the sillage is a bit weak but serves its purpose.

The bottle is kept simple for a body spray but is nicely made, as many I know are made of plastic. The spray button sometimes dispenses a bit too little, so you often have to spray again. Skin compatibility was positive, and I also did not get any headaches.

Application: I usually spray this on my bed linens and wear it rarely, as it feels a bit too special for everyday use.

Conclusion: Fresh rose meets sweet honey - in my opinion, a successful blend with good longevity. :)

Not as wonderful as expected
My first encounter with Rituals was about 3 years ago. Until then, I knew the brand but was never willing to spend 9 euros on a hand cream.

At some point, I found myself in the department store, at that time we still didn't have a store nearby. There, I instantly fell in love with the Ayurveda scent and the accompanying hand cream.

Eventually, my birthday and Christmas were approaching. I hinted to my friends that I would love to receive products from the line, but I was particularly keen on the perfume. I wanted to smell just like that! Since my husband was lacking gift ideas, I let the purchase go and eagerly anticipated my birthday.

When my birthday finally arrived, there were several gift boxes here (the contents of which have indeed lasted until now, the money for the creams is definitely worth it!). And how excited I was when I discovered the perfume: Ayurveda, the name promising, the bottle simple. I had looked forward to the scent so much and was convinced I would never want another fragrance again!

But with the first spray came the disillusionment: A nice, generic scent that unfortunately is not identical to the creams. Additionally, it has a longevity of about 3-4 hours, which is nothing more than average. A sillage that corresponds to a pillow scent.

While the body cream smells like a rose wrapped in a gentle veil of honey, I detect an artificial imitation in the perfume. Yes, you can smell rose and a sweet hint, but somehow the rose is prickly, the thorns sting the nose and the skin. On my skin, there is a sour undertone that I don't recognize from fragrances. I also notice a hint of menthol in the cream, which is completely absent in the perfume. Perhaps that is what makes the perfume seem so one-dimensional?

Today, I use it as a bed scent, spraying it on my pillow and blankets once a week while applying the body cream for care. And honestly, the cream lasts on me far longer than the perfume.

Unfortunately, there is no magic here, just a large measure of mediocrity. That it gets to carry the name is shocking to me. Apparently, I'm the only one who can smell the differences - my husband, on the other hand, thinks he perceives it as identical. I, however, find it very different and will not repurchase once the bottle is empty.

Counterpart to Yogi Flow
If you like the Yogi Flow shower foam from Rituals, you'll also enjoy this Bed and Body Mist. It smells exactly like rose and honey, just as the enchanting and universally loved shower product does. I actually bought the bottle to use it as a perfume, but somehow Indian Rose & Himalaya Honey is just too sweet and rosy for everyday wear. The rose comes through very dominantly, really sweet and hefty. Therefore, I now use the spray for my wardrobe - occasionally spritzing it on my piles of clothes and everything smells lovely. A great laundry scent then! :)

Perfection in a bottle
A month ago, I visited a Rituals store for the first time. I wanted to get their laundry detergent. But then I thought, "why not smell a few perfumes/body sprays?" First, I tried the super popular Sakura scent. I was a bit disappointed, so I wanted to try the others. When I smelled the Rituals scent inspired by Ayurveda, I was instantly in love. At that time, I was also looking for an everyday fragrance that is sweet and floral, but not too much. This gem smells as calming as a spa, yet still floral and sweet. Don't be put off by the rose in the notes, because this is by far the best and most modern version of rose that I have ever smelled. I immediately decided not only on the body spray but also got a whole set with shower foam, shower oil, and lotion. I've never smelled so good in my life. Simply perfect for layering. Perfect for any age and almost any occasion. The only thing that personally bothers me is the longevity. After two hours, it becomes a skin scent, hard to perceive. Nevertheless, I love that they have small travel sprays for on-the-go. I already have one in my bag, and it costs €6 for 20 ml, which isn't too bad. I AM THRILLED!! Try it for yourself!

It's beautiful! Rose with a cuddly factor. Soft, delicate, and cozy with a hint of honey and wood. I'd wear it even if I'm not a rose fan.

A fruity start transitions to rose petals in honey. Noble refreshment, delicate and light. This is how a unicorn should smell.

Fresh-floral bed scent. You don't really notice the rose or honey. Scent twin: Tommy Girl.

Wonderful fresh rose scent for body and laundry, perfect for a quick refresh. It adapts beautifully as it’s subtle and doesn’t overpower.

The new version has rose and almond. I find it much more pleasant than the honey variant.

The scent wraps you in its sweet, lovely cloud of roses.
The price is great! The hand cream and body oil from the line are also wonderful.

Not as nice as the care line. Nice to have as a refreshment. Sweetly rosy, not honey for me. Great for bed linens or textiles.
