I look to you to see the truth
You live your life, you go in shadows.
Cape Aspro is located on the south coast of Cyprus, not far from the famous Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite. At the time of Venetian rule, an important trade route ran along the coast here. The light-colored limestone of the cliffs was also used to build the houses in the area. Some of these buildings still stand on the cliffs today - simple but impressive, like silent witnesses to times gone by.
It stands at the highest point: the former manor house of a winegrower. Rather plain for the time, but stunning from today's perspective. Through the double doors, you enter an expansive room that leads directly to the veranda overlooking the cliffs and the sea. All the windows are open, the floor-length curtains blowing in the wind. On a small table is a fruit plate with mandarins and pears. The salt from the sea spray is carried upwards by the waves and is caught in the large tubs in which proud roses bloom.
When I wear this fragrance, I am right there. In a place that makes banal everyday problems fall silent. I am someone who spends time reading with a view of the sea in a house that is far too big - without stress and without obligations.
The fragrance starts off fruity and fresh, the aquatic note is very subtle but noticeably woven in. Despite its lightness, it is absolutely present but not at all loud - present but not overpowering. Over time, pear and mandarin recede into the background and the fragrance becomes more floral. The longevity is really good for such a fresh fragrance. I am delighted with this short vacation in a bottle.
