Interesting Facts

Jakarta-based perfume enthusiast Mohammed Abu Nashi had been working as an oud supplier for several years before meeting Italian luxury perfumer Andrea Casotti. The two fragrance experts shared many similarities in their industry, such as their interpretation of what makes a good fragrance and what it can mean: aesthetics, art and passion. The two men also shared a passion for travel. So in 2016, they decided to bring together the Occident and the Orient. This was the birth of "The House of Oud".

The name has several meanings: it refers to the oud ingredient (the smoked wood of the eaglewood tree) found in many Arabian fragrances. Oud also stands for the unconditional passion ("Our unique devotion") with which the label creates its fragrances.

The House of Oud's fragrances bring a lot of oriental flair to Europe. Substances such as cardamom, patchouli, tobacco, musk and an abundance of precious woods bring the Orient and the Occident together. And the bottles live up to the highest standards. Each fragrance is contained in a 'lying fragrance egg', hand-painted with thick layers.

House of Oud fragrances are available in selected drugstores (Douglas) and online.
