Coconut Water & Yuzu 4711 2022

Such a wonderful fresh cheapie! This might just be my favorite for summer 2025. Yes, it's an EDC but I still get a decent 5 to 6 hours from this. It's not expensive so I really don't mind re-applying throughout the day. It is very office friendly and sits rather close to the skin.

This is perfect for the extremely hot, humid days where you need a fresh pick-me-up. At first I was a bit wary because this opened up with a strong creamy coconut water and barely any yuzu. It balanced itself out after the first ten minutes, with the slightly sweet yuzu now taking the spotlight and the coconut water in the background. The yuzu in this smells like a sweet combination of mandarin and lemons. No sourness though in this citrus fragrance! Just a pleasant soft sweetness. It smells kind of like a fizzy pina colada.

Coconut water & yuzu is marketed as a unisex fragrance, personally though I think it is better suited for women as it's so airy, fresh and slightly sweet. I do really love this for the very hot days and I'm looking forward to wearing it this summer!

When you spray it on, you immediately get the feeling of summer and the beach. The coconut notes beautifully balance the citrus notes and creaminess. Unfortunately, the performance is not particularly good; for the price, you shouldn't expect too much, but it is already gone for me after a maximum of 3 hours. If it were also a bit stronger, it would be my favorite for the summer. As it stands, it remains a scent for vacation. However, for the price, it is really very good.

4711 is more known for its cologne. This brand has quite a few prejudices, so it is often associated with this "grandma DNA." I find this neroli note quite good, and these new creations marketed by Mäurer & Wirtz have nothing in common with this classic DNA. I really like these themes, and this concept, which Jo Malone also uses, is quite cool. Two notes are indicated as the main actors, and you usually get just that, no more, no less. Of course, many fragrances contain more notes, but this simply structured concept has its charm and thrives on its lightness. Here, 4711 has this wonderful summery DNA of coconut, coconut water, and yuzu in mind for this Acqua Colonia line. I can absolutely recommend this fragrance for all coconut lovers looking for a scent that is not too heavy or cloying. There is a certain sweetness and creaminess present, but it is quite uncomplicated and easy to wear.

In terms of price, these 4711 fragrances are really top-notch. You can get 50ml for under €20, which is more than fair for this quality. The bottles are in the mid-range and simply designed like the original. However, the bottles have a more modern structure, which is quite cool. Otherwise, the design is rather simple, and the box is modest. The fragrance delivers, though, and the price is great.
The opening of this scent is extremely fresh. It starts with coconut water and a lot of zesty, citrusy yuzu. The yuzu gives this creation a special vibe with this wonderful exotic fruit from the Far East. This mix of coconut water and yuzu is a very interesting and appealing combination that the masses will likely enjoy, and you can't go wrong with it. As it develops, the coconut becomes more prominent, bringing a creamy note and a slight sweetness. It's rather a one-dimensional scent without much evolution. The "base" of this fragrance is, of course, significantly sweeter than the fresh opening, and the base lightly leans towards Vanilla Vibes with its fresh-creamy sweetness. Overall, it is very rounded and pleasing. The fragrance is unisex, even though coconut tends to appeal more to women. This is a very modern concept that is wearable by everyone.
Performance is quite good and surprised me, even though it is not rated so highly here. This scent lasts a minimum of 5-6 hours, and the sillage is quite good. Perfect for in-between, especially on these sunny days.

Overall, a great fragrance that is perfect for warm and hot days for a quick refresh. This scent lifts the mood and provides that wonderful summery lightness with its tropical vibes.

Start: icy with yuzu and coconut, brilliantly refreshing, citrusy of course!
Then coconut with sea aquatic - a bit synthetic, fortunately only briefly.
It follows a pure scent of milk, and only milk, without coconut. I found it brilliant, I've never smelled anything like it before.
The next day the base on the paper was simply coconut and water (not seawater, just fresh cool water), both without annoying synthetic scratchiness, pleasant.
