Perfect for hot weather and the workplace

Peony & Sandalwood is a fresh fragrance without being in your face about it. It's not overly chilly or clean smelling. No screechiness or harshness. While refreshing, the floral and woody notes definitely shine trough and remain noticeable for hours, yet never too much.

I wear this a lot at work. I work as a nurse in a rehabilitation centre and the perfumes I wear there have to be subtle and not too strong as to not worsen anyone's condition. This is perfect as it isn't too linear or one-note, smells professional and is not overpowering. The peony and sandalwood are nicely blended into a light, sweet scent with some woody undertones.

I wear this on spring, summer and warm autumn days. I prefer warmer scents for winter and colder days. Overall this EdC is worth it for its price. It's affordable, the bottle looks pretty, and the scent lasts me an entire 8 hour shift. I'm sure most people would prefer it to project more, but I love that it's quite close to the skin so that I don't suffocate anybody. I purely wear this for myself while in the middle of the many funky smells that come with a healthcare profession.

Peonies and Sandalwood in the Summer - Light - Version

I always look forward to new scents from the Acqua Colonia range. There has always been a gem or two among them. I actually wear most of them only in summer. But I also wear the Intense Wakening Woods of Scandinavia year-round, for example.
After the other newcomer Freesia & Musk simply smells sweet for only 3 hours (pleasantly sweet, but still disappointing), this one is fresher and more invigorating. I find it floral - fresh in the first hour of wearing, and I mainly perceive fresh rose here. Then the sandalwood base follows, and it becomes creamy sweet, also slightly powdery. Personally, I am thrilled with the scent and wear it very happily. Sandalwood is not always my friend, as it gives me headaches in some fragrances. But in this summer-light version, it is very wearable.
A beautiful, pleasing summer scent. It has something! Longevity for me is a solid 2 hours and then another 1-2 hours close to the skin. Given the price and because it is a Cologne, it is absolutely fine.

Peony..who?

I am increasingly getting the impression that peony, as a proclaimed ingredient, unfortunately has nothing to do with the real peony. Thus, 4711 unfortunately fails to convey the authentic scent of the peony.
Certainly, the lovely floral-fresh ensemble is pleasingly designed and will delight many noses, but it lacks authenticity. The little sandalwood in the base counters the floral splendor a bit, but unfortunately only manages to appear as a mere background player. A slightly powdery note accompanies the sea of flowers into the base.
As is typical for colognes, the whole experience unfolds relatively quickly, so you can perceive something for 2-3 hours before it becomes more intimate.
As a floral summer freshener or refresher, it is certainly usable, but without a wow or aha effect.
Those seeking authenticity should look elsewhere.
