Modern Nostalgia
This one is an instant love for me. It has an invigorating opening that draws you in, while changing just enough throughout the wear to keep me interested and entertained. I see where some of the comparisons with Aventus and Qaed Al Fursan are coming from but for me, it is not those at all. Afnan 9PM Rebel is it's own thing, pulling from several inspirations.
I'm not sure what it is yet, but the dry-down comes across as something familiar, from the mid-2000's, yet still modern? Some may be turned off by this but I absolutely love it.
For me, the longevity and sillage are outstanding. I am tracking this as a 10 hour scent, wearing it five days over the last two weeks. For sillage, it is not a "loud" projector. It does extend beyond an arms-length for the first couple hours, then pulls back to a good scent bubble until the 8 hour mark. After that, a skin scent but still detectable.
This scent really resonates with me and has a perfect balance of nostalgia, depth, performance, and modern edge to signature scent.
