Lemon cake with rum flavor and honey icing
I already had the "Victoria / فيكتوريا | Lattafa / لطافة" in my possession, but when I discovered another Devotion Eau de Parfum alternative, this bottle had to move in too!
I love Victoria - fresh, sweet, citrusy, light. The fragrance pyramid of the Delicious Bouquet read much more spicy.
And lo and behold, the fragrance reflects the pyramid well!
Delicious Bouquet starts pleasantly sweet, vanilla-like, citrusy with a hint of spice, probably due to the rum in the heart note. The lemon and bergamot are somewhat concealed under the spiciness, which is why the fragrance hardly exudes any freshness for me - but that is not a bad thing. In addition to the lemon and bergamot, I also detect some orange (although not listed), but it is really only subtle. The white flowers are only slightly perceptible.
Over time, the rum comes further to the fore and the honey joins in. The spiciness gains depth and the citrus slips further into the background and is drawn from the fruity to the floral direction by the orange blossom. It also becomes sweeter without slipping into stickiness.
In the drydown, the vanilla paired with caramel comes to the fore again. Honey can still be detected. Here, the fragrance is mainly warm, sweet and only slightly spicy.
From my memory, I would say that the Delicious Bouquet is closer to the OG than the Victoria.
The warmth and spice make it more of a fall / winter candidate for me, or year-round in milder to cold temperatures.
The durability is about 7 hours for me, the sillage is quite good if you mist yourself generously. The bottle makes a high-quality impression, the spray head does a good job.
My favorite remains the "Victoria / فيكتوريا | Lattafa / لطافة" as the lemon and freshness are in the foreground here, but I would perhaps prefer the Delicious Bouquet for colder days.
