Summer Orchid
There’s almost no information about this one so i decided to give it a try.
Lots of people will jump to describing the fruits and make comparisons to Erba Pura or Kirke but i just don’t see it.
This is very floral forward and is a great example of the top and base notes accentuating the heart notes of a fragrance.
To me the yang-ylang is very prominent and reminds me of Black Orchid by Tom Ford of all things which is a pleasant surprise.
So if you can imagine a fresher summer version of Black Orchid then that’s what this smells like to me.
Keep in mind i just received this so maybe the other notes will start to come out as it starts to oxidize.
Black Orchid is my favorite designer fragrance of all time so having a summer version of it works for me.
In terms of performance, just like others in the Ahmed Al Maghribi lineup, it won’t disappoint.
Extremely well blended and balanced, not too sweet. The coconut gives it some body without smelling like sunscreen.
