The best Amouage for the (elegant) woman! / Oriental, mystical, mysterious - an absolute WOW fragrance!
Hello everyone,

today I want to talk about a women's fragrance. About one of the best niche fragrances for women that I believe exists and one that very few people here own and probably even know..., the Lyric Woman Extrait de Parfum.

Before I dive into the exact scent description - something else. Why do I only give it 9.5 points, and not a full 10? Actually, I would give the fragrance 15 out of 10, but it has a small issue for me and that is its usability (when, where), because it is so good... , let's say it had a 10/10, which it truly deserves.

Now to the description:

The scent is unique, fine, noble, and extremely well-balanced. It captures the Orient in a bottle. Multifaceted! You are greeted by a beautiful, strong, and very high-quality rose, which initially remains relatively present. However, it gradually steps back and lets others take the spotlight, but it is always there (in the background), thankfully! Because I love this rose very much - a very brief digression from me. As a man, I really like rose, but there are relatively few really well-crafted fragrances with rose (regardless of gender). Many fragrances have the classic rose - oud scent direction and easily 90% of them rely heavily on synthetic bases, ranging from 20€ (like the "Oud Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Lattafa / لطافة") to nearly 200€ with the (Oud Satin Mood Eau de Parfum,
but that has nothing to do with whether a fragrance is well-made or poorly made and how well it is received. I will name 3 rose fragrances (from one brand) that I really like, which are Nefs, Mana, and Favonius, and there you can notice, among other things, the quality of the rose, and here it is no different.

The rose is soft, creamy, delicate, velvety, and plays, in my opinion, "PERFECTLY" with the other notes!

What else is noticeable here?

The infinitely beautiful incense (not sacred), the patchouli (not earthy), the creamy sandalwood, the geranium, and then in the drydown, something very subtly sweet from the vanilla and tonka bean.

For a very specific application area during a suitable season or temperature, it is one of the best and highest quality fragrances a woman can have and wear!

Performance:

Regarding longevity - a very elegant 16h++ and on clothing for weeks (including washing)! And as for sillage, it performs a bit worse.

Why?

The problem here is the extremely high concentration of fragrance oils, which ensures that the fragrance has an incredible longevity, but in general, it clings relatively heavily to you and radiates less strongly!

Regarding compliments/comments:

I have rarely experienced anything like this, all that I am about to say comes either from my wife's mouth or I have seen and experienced it myself. The class (expressiveness) that the fragrance creates is WOW, and that is just when you enter the room...

Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman aged 30 to 70 (and beyond), so far, almost everyone has reacted with a "WOW, how beautiful it is!", and this is regardless of whether at the supermarket, a bank appointment, or at the Christmas party...

BUT please consider the following, and I mean this SERIOUSLY (I don't mean it in a bad way!). It has this incredible class, this grace, this special quality, and I would NEVER recommend a woman to wear this fragrance all the time and everywhere. On one hand, it deserves a special appearance! And on the other hand, never wear it with sweatpants..., trust me ;).

Now just a word or two about the packaging, bottle, sprayer, and price.
Regarding the packaging, short and sweet - typically Amouage, noble, chic, high-quality.
As for the bottle, it is one of the most beautiful bottles for women, and anyone who claims otherwise..., can do so, but I do not agree with that / not even close!
Regarding the sprayer, I have already mentioned it in certain reviews of Amouage before, on one hand, I am certainly not a FAN of the spray head, in terms of its construction, the possible dosage, and the very central alignment / hardness of the content that comes out ;). Funny phrasing, I know, but when I see Chanel and, for example, Dior..., I do wonder why such a great house like Amouage can't get it right.

And now finally to the point about the "dear price", I will put it this way: if we say we have a certain desire for luxury products / fragrance products in the niche area, then I find it difficult or, to be honest, almost pointless to criticize this as something negative. No one forces us to spend this money. If you ask me now: Benny, is it WORTH it? Then I find it very difficult to answer this - if I have to evaluate the creativity, I would say - test it, and if you like it, buy it!

Best regards to everyone and stay healthy, Benny

Frubiase - Ecstasy
The opening reminds me a bit - this might come off as a bit uncultured, but it is not meant to diminish the fragrance in any way - of those mineral effervescent tablets that you get in those elongated containers and dissolve in water, but those minerals are completely excreted again due to their poor quality. Perhaps this is due to the interplay of the cardamom in the top note with ginger and rose?
The latter takes over the reins as the fragrance develops and initially comes across as bright and piercing, before it becomes increasingly velvety over time and arranges itself with the other flowers and the frankincense.

Noble Rose
What bothered me a bit about the Eau de Parfum was the geranium, which, in my opinion, pushed itself too much to the forefront. It is also very beautiful and rose-like, somewhat citrusy, but nothing compared to real rose extract. The rose as a true essential oil is significantly more precious and noble than that of the geranium. The geranium is often used as a cheaper substitute for rose.
I was somewhat disappointed, although later in the EDP the rose becomes a bit more prominent.
Here, in the Extrait, the geranium is in the background from the start, and the velvety, real rose comes forth immediately and dominantly. Additionally, I mainly smell woods and oak moss with a smoky character. Fuller, darker, and deeper than in the EDP.
An adult and only slightly sweet fragrance. A dream of a scent. For me, it has many animalistic elements in the combination that I really like. Especially the base becomes woody and warm and lasts for hours.

Oh my God, how surprised I was when I opened the package and held a velvet-lined wooden box in my hands. So beautiful...and so high-quality and noble. I can't capture the beauty of the box and the rhinestone-decorated bottle cap in a photo.
My impression is that it is something very precious that I am holding, and I was very lucky to be able to see, feel, and ultimately smell it. Thank you for that! It is a beautiful special edition.

It is a great joy to give or receive something like this. You can't go wrong with it.

Rose-jasmine shotgun with a creamy-bitter patch silencer. Wonderfully pure yet so intense. Soft iris with incense eyes...

For me, much nicer than the EDP, because the rose geranium is so beautifully blended and doesn't dominate - a really great rose scent!

If roses, then like this! An oriental fragrance that knows how to be enjoyed. Soft as velvet. Noble like a sultana. On a carved sandalwood throne.

Dark, velvety, black-red petals, full rose bloom, softly flattering, creamy, surrounded and carried by spices. Unsweetened and noble.

A beautiful dark rose that also has something very animalistic about it. On the right person, it’s definitely lovely.
