A Subtle, Tender Game of Illusion

"Kogaï for Her | Annayake / アナヤケ" has just been released and I have been in love with this fragrance since the first test!
The scent starts off very softly-powdery, underlined by a hint of pepper. After a few minutes, a crystal-clear water jasmine follows, layered with powdery iris and fresh peony. I also perceive a subtle hint of white musk, which is not listed in the fragrance pyramid. The musk whiff remains present throughout the 8 hours that the scent lasts on me, flashing like a flirtatious wink every now and then. The fragrance further shifts from powdery-dry to water-bright-fresh. "Kogaï for Her | Annayake / アナヤケ" is a subtle, tender game of illusion in the very best old-fashioned sense, that shimmers while simultaneously surrounding its wearer with an aura of soft, light powder, almost like a woven armor of powderiness.
I can only imagine this scent on women, unless a man wants to smell like a woman. The fragrance clings to my skin for at least 8 hours, if not a bit longer. The elongated rectangular bottle with its beveled edges and the salmon-colored liquid inside perfectly symbolizes the soft feminine character of "Kogaï for Her | Annayake / アナヤケ" for me. The cap comes off easily and fits back on with a satisfying click.

A fragrance that lingers, like a beautiful down.

A scent, so delicate and fine,
With water jasmine and mandarin in the shine.
Pink pepper, a hint of spice,
The top note promises a gentle breeze.

But in the heart note, I miss something,
Iris, freesia, and peony, not quite on point.
The vanilla dominates, sweet and soft,
But the other notes remain in the background.

A transparent powder scent, so pretty and clear,
But I miss the depth, that is true.
The base is slightly woody, a hint of cedar,
But overall, I sadly miss the finesse here.

It's worth a test, but for me, not a purchase,
The fragrance has potential, but not enough to impress.
A powder scent that lightly drifts away,
But for me, it doesn't go deep enough, I must say.

The bottle, however, is quite wonderful
Beautiful to look at, that is clear.
The longevity is good, the sillage soft in the room,
A fragrance that lingers, like a beautiful down.

Kogai - a floral-powdery secret

For me, Kogai is an underrated fragrance that many more people should try. It starts off floral and quite prominent, but soon becomes softer and very pleasant to wear. The slight powdery note is the special nuance - it keeps coming through and makes the scent elegant and feminine. I first bought it as a sample here, then went through a little perfume obsession only with Kogai - and in the end, I had to have the large bottle. For me, it's a very feminine, delicate scent, perfect for spring.

Sunrise in Osaka

An impressive sunrise takes its natural course in Osaka. The deep red sun warms the cold, damp ocean. The tender touches of the sun draw bright rays in the endless sky. The formations of Mother Nature are of divine grace.

Kimiko witnesses the natural spectacle. Her long, black hair, illuminated by the red rays of dawn, resembles dark glittering branches, gracefully hanging from the trunk of a thick cherry tree. The scent of water jasmine and a hint of mandarin wafts over from her grandfather's hut. Pink pepper kisses the duo in pure tenderness. The soul of the hut speaks of a colorful bouquet of flowers, yet only the most exquisite varieties, as if it were their task to never take the scepter. A comforting vanilla blanket spreads as a base note, upon which cedar comfortably settles and invites sandalwood for a tête-à-tête.

The blend exudes pure Asia vibes. For my taste, quite floral. Yet the softly powdery hint of Asian extravagance sings volumes in the background. The natural ingredients of the fragrance elevate the jewel by leaps and bounds.

Pastel Powder

A delicate fragile creature. Like a rose silk kimono. A hint of powder, a hint of flowers, freshness like after a rain shower in the month of May. It leans towards Trussardi fragrances and Wonderlust (MK). Restraint is the motto here, and durability and sillage behave accordingly. Fans of Trussardi Pure Jasmine and My Name will likely be thrilled by this scent. Unfortunately, it is a bit too restrained for me.
