Clean and clear

It's spicy and warm with a base of herbal freshness. Great blind buy and immediate daily driver. Good longevity and projection. It's very present, but it's not cloying or annoying. A lot of scents with musk base have that strong, generic musk note that I hate, but not this one. A good scent for any season.

When others dance with bright fruits, Dojou glides through clear lines, calm water, and cool air.

Dojou for Him is not a typical summer scent.
It is like a quiet, clear morning in a Japanese Zen garden, shortly after a light summer rain.

You step barefoot onto fine, damp gravel. The air is fresh.
In the background: the gentle splashing of a bamboo waterfall.
What you first perceive is an elegant aquatic freshness, interwoven with a gentle, citrus clarity, neither aggressive nor playful.
Here, nothing is loud, but balanced.

After the clear opening, cool spices and delicate floral notes come to the forefront.
They feel like a light breeze passing by a temple pond.
This is followed by a subtle green core, almost mossy, but clean, no wilderness, just nature in its most harmonious form.

In the dry down, the scent rests on a base of gentle woods and clean musk, like smooth stones shaped by water.

As a woman who wears it and loves it passionately, I must say:

Unisex, stylish, green-loving, uplifting, invigorating, revitalizing...and leaving me self-consuming ;) It feels as if Enclave by Amouage and Mr. Vetiver by Une Nuit Nomade have robustly copulated and left behind this juice ;)
On my skin, it has great sillage and acceptable longevity.

I love it! It will always stay with me as long as it exists!

Green Allrounder

Almost my entry into the world of perfume, it stood out to me at Douglas among all the other typical designers, and shortly thereafter I bought it as my first "real" perfume.

I still like it now. For spring, it works great as a green/fresh scent and is also perfect for everyday use thanks to the price.

Dojou for him unfolds quite straightforwardly: Initially, you can still smell a hint of pepper, and then tea and a slightly earthy scent dominate.

Sillage and longevity are good for the price, making it a fragrance I enjoy reaching for again and again.

In my opinion, many fragrances by Annayake are underrated, just like this one. The scent is relatively simple, but still smells very good for a designer and its price. It is green, fresh, woody, spicy, and masculine. This fragrance has already brought me many surprising compliments. It is perfect for any season and occasion. The scent does not change particularly strongly, except that it becomes a bit sweeter and less spicy, as can also be gathered from the notes. I wear Dojou at least once every 2 weeks, as it truly is one of the best everyday fragrances in this price range.
