Lightly Bitter Shower Gel, Freshly Shaved Vibes
Mukhallat Shahrayar has admittedly disappointed me a bit as I expected more based on the 9 rating.
However, it should be noted that only three people have given their ratings so far.
Despite that, I thought something "special" was coming my way.
The sample has been with me for a while now. Recently, it was time to test it back and forth.
About the scent:
The fragrance starts off fresh right from the beginning. This freshness definitely gives me a shower gel vibe or even a shaving foam association. You enjoy a refreshing shower, use a lightly bitter shower gel, and then there's a wet shave. That’s roughly the beginning of Mukhallat Shahrayar.
The scent gains a bit of spiciness over time, and the initial freshness gradually fades away.
Additionally, a pleasant vetiver note comes in, along with a woody impression.
Even a felt veil of incense now envelops the progression until the end.
Mukhallat Shahrayar also consistently has a slightly bitter character.
Whether in the fresh part of the progression or afterwards.
That’s basically it.
This fragrance doesn’t have many facets for me. Is that a bad thing?
Not really. I often like such things, but in this case, I would have wished for a bit more complexity.
I found the longevity to be okay, but not really good.
The sillage is also a bit weaker.
This may all sound a bit negative, but that’s not how it’s meant to come across.
Overall, the fragrance is perfectly fine, and you feel comfortable with it. Unfortunately, it feels a bit 0-8-15 to me.
Nonetheless, I’m sure it will please many.
