One of the best releases of 2021
Before you continue to read, please note that I have never smelled Ottoman Empire 1 or 2. The third installment of this series is therefore my first time experiencing this rose/oud/sandalwood gem. I'm intentionally listing the sandalwood right away, because...
Yes, this is a rose/oud scent. But its completeness and full body is thanks to the buttery sandalwood. I'm going with 'buttery' here because while 'creamy' is fitting, buttery is even more accurate. OE 3 is heavy but not overwhelming. The oud blends perfectly with the sandalwood after we say goodbye to the rose opening and we are left with heart and base notes that ooze smoothness and comfort.
Sillage is good (understand this is coming from somebody who is rarely satisfied with sillage in most fragrances).
Longevity could be 1-2 hours longer for my taste, but again, this is me being extra picky. I'm not going to mention that it stays on clothes forever - most fragrances do.
Wearable for most occasions and especially fitting for Spring and Fall.
A top 3 release in 2021 for me by Areej Le Dore. Aged beautifully over the last few months too and keeps getting better and better. Signature-scent worthy all the way. If this weren't a limited release, I'd wear this 3-4 times a week without a doubt.
