A Declaration take on a "green" and "fresh" scent
Giving this a first full wear today.

I can definitely see why people are comparing it to Mugler Cologne / Come Together. It falls in the same "green/fresh" vibe as that and Guerlain Homme, somewhat PdM Greenley, and to a lesser degree Vintage Green. Declaration HF is more citrus and woody than the soapy Mugler Cologne. I'd also put it in the fresh green category as Givenchy Gentleman Cologne. Not that these listed fragrances are similar, but they share a that green and fresh vibe, at least to me.

Getting the Declaration DNA, but it's more green and subdued than Declaration L'eau which to me is a lot more grapefruit and cedar. It's also not as spicy as the original and Essence, so the cumin is very hard to detect. Haute Fraicheur is not a beast, but it's pleasant and will be great for the office come Spring and Summer.

I'd check this one out if you like "green" and "fresh" scents.

Dirty (Lemon) Balls!
On my skin, Cartier's "Declarations" always come off a bit sweaty, scratchy, smoky. And that's for mostly citrus scents. Unique to very strange! Exceptions are clear, "Declaration D'un Soir" is, for example, a rosy-woody favorite of mine. But this newer "Declaration Haute Fraicheur" also heads back in the sweaty, human lemon direction on my skin. Maybe it’s also due to my chemistry, my arm hair, my sweat. Who knows! But surely also because of the scent and the entire line. Why this lemon ashtray was still allowed to accompany me to Fuerteventura? I’ll try to explain…

"Declaration Haute Fraicheur" is a spicy, short-lived lemon bomb. So far, it’s still simple, straight, easy to describe. Like a more intense version of Rabanne's "Paco," roughly. But this spiciness is not typical. Not pepper. Barely woods. Not basil. Let alone chili. No, "Decl. HF" lets its lemon garden go in a different direction. Naughtier. Ashier. Ruder (to put it harshly). And I find that interestingly "nasty." Maybe I just want to justify the purchase since I certainly didn’t have all these facets completely on my radar during the quick test in the duty-free area. Nevertheless, it’s definitely not your off-the-shelf summer freshie. I actually like cardamom a lot, I know it very well. However, rather well-measured and soft. Here it zips into the parade like a sprightly runner in the Champions League final. This "Declaration" will not only find friends. It has, in a way, guts. Or they just messed up making a pleasant summer scent. However you want to see it. It also has quite a bit of untamed, Arabic, black tea - which could be a warning for some?!

Bottle: Cartier just knows luxury and bottles!
Sillage: despite the spiciness, a clear summer star
Longevity: 2-4 hours is basically too little

Conclusion: a sweaty, sweaty lemon garden with Cartier luxury flair - something does indeed sit badly on my skin… yet still sexy. Full of tension and scratchiness.

Starts off very nicely fresh, becomes spicier but unfortunately doesn't last long
The Déclaration Haute Fraîcheur
starts with a beautifully fresh note. Cardamom is listed here, but I can't really perceive it, rather something citrusy. Perhaps the listed citrus leaf is the main player.

During the scent development, it becomes increasingly spicier and towards the dry down, also nicely woody.
At the start of the scent development, it still has a certain freshness alongside the spiciness, but that fades away bit by bit.
I didn't find the spiciness to be very subtle either.
People who don't like spiciness in their fragrances will definitely not enjoy this one.

Unfortunately, it is generally a rather short-lived scent.
At least my skin doesn't really embrace it, or the scent has a real performance issue.
For me, it has faded after a maximum of 4 hours, and I'm being generous here.

Summer fragrance? Year-round fragrance? Am I imagining things?
This scent is not only something quite exclusive in the top note but a clone in the dry-down.

The top note is truly amazing.
Citrusy par excellence; in a form I have never smelled before. 10/10 points
A clear recommendation, but please, no blind purchase.
Because the fragrance has even more to offer. And that's where the catch lies.

In the dry-down, I suddenly smell an old acquaintance or should I say several acquaintances.
*There’s something of Aunt Urban Scents or Uncle Creed and the distant Uncle D.S. & Durga from the USA in it.
So something that fits well with the top note but has been around before,
and from various perfume houses.
It smells to me like tea, green, light, relaxing. So rather good, harmonious.

Regarding the topic of "synthetic": Of course, the fragrance components are artificially produced in the lab, but in my opinion, these components do not smell synthetic, but rather high-quality.

The longevity could be significantly better, as could the sillage, but they probably didn't want to be too chemical or sell more of the stuff.

Conclusion: Overall, a great fragrance for the bright season. For me, absolutely unisex and clearly suitable for the office.
Try the fragrance out.
I had the chance to test it at Alsterhaus in Hamburg, where I was very kindly and competently advised by the lady.

Top note: 10/10
Heart note: 9/10 - One point deduction because it already exists multiple times.
Base note: 9/10 - see above

Good evening

*Gun Powder by Urban Scents, Original Vetiver by Creed, or Coriander by D&S were probably the inspiration for the heart note & base note.

Very beautiful summer scent
This fragrance is something quite exclusive. It really smells very lemony-limey, reminiscent of cocktails like Caipirinha or Mojito. Definitely more for summer, but you can certainly wear it in winter as well. I think the scent is also very suitable for the office, as it is not too intrusive; the sillage is rather moderate, which I think is very good. It simply smells fresh, summery, green. The bottle fits perfectly with the fragrance, a precise representation of the scent.

Fresh, citric and green opening, quite spicy. In the drydown, dry cedarwood shavings with cardamom. Similar to a Loewe's, maybe Solo Cedro.

Absulately stunning fragrance for summer. The only downside is performance otherwise scent wise 9/10

Super easy going citrus perfume with a slight woodiness and a tiny hint of cardamom. Excellent for summer and high heat. Fleeting though.

Cardamom's heart is rung by citrus and a greenish halo. Citrus leaves add a special touch to the OG. It is not your typical eau de cologne.

Déclaration with a citrus leaf note. Very fresh, clean, polite but a bit reduntant to be honest. The OG and Essence are still better options

Slightly spicy green scent. Nothing too unique, but nice all the same. Okay performance

(◄ M2) Vegetal mélange w/ Déclaration tea musk, but less "fraîcheur" than the original because the citruses are denser, matted, less sharp.

Green spicy scent to its core. Stands out but still pleases, signature potential, im loving this on my skin, must sniff if you like greenes

Juicy, citrusy, green with original spicy-woody DNA in the background. Actually good, but performance is lacking.
