Now the Cristalle carafe is finally filled.
Where I always find Cristalle Eau de Parfum a bit dull and boring, Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum does have that extra 'pizazz' that the original is missing, but without loosing that beautyful ethereal quality.
Got a sample of it and it is beautyful. Sillage is rated rather low here, but I can tell you: This radiates. I smell wafts of it when moving around with only one spray on the back of my hand and it is stunningly beautyful.
It is so bright with a bit of soapyness; in here the 'green' is not an earthy kind of green (as in Chanel 19), but the green of fresh juicy leaves.

Angelic; Bright and tingeling like chandeliers...Really very beautyful!

Do You Know the Land Where the Lemons Bloom....?
...that immediately came to mind when I smelled the Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum..
It is beautifully citrusy, yet gentle and incredibly fresh.
I could sniff it on my wrist all day.
I don't like heavy, sweet fragrances. Never have, and they will never find a place with me. This one suits me perfectly.
I once had a sample of the EDT, but it was too harsh, scratchy, and piercing for me. Perhaps the slightly metallic background bothered me.
I must say I had some concerns about ordering the EDP blind because I feared that the scent hadn't changed much compared to the EDT... But I am just super happy with the EDP. It is citrusy green, but in a very elegant way. High quality, special! The scent is very harmonious and very well done by Chanel. I find it incomparable to any other perfume and unmistakable.
For anyone who loves fresh, summery, and citrusy fragrances, I can only recommend Cristalle. It is a special treasure!

Freshly Showered
A long time ago, I read somewhere about a woman who described the scent of her colleague. "She always smells like she just stepped out of the shower." What does she mean by that?!

Then my bathroom was renovated. 7 days without a shower. In July. A hot July.
It became clear to me what she meant. I wandered around frustrated, as I constantly had to apply for shower asylum somewhere through a drugstore. Since I "grew up" with Chanel, I reached for "Christall." My father had brought it to me when I was a teenager. He thought it was a fresh scent for a young girl (that was in the 90s). I didn't like it. I found it toxic and simply piercing.
Here was "Christall" again. Is it still available? Let's see how I find it today, I thought naively. Already with the first spray into the air, I smelled something completely different. "Freshly showered" shot through my mind. So I took the Eau de Parfum with me and learned that green scents could indeed be something for me.

It is described as citrusy, but I find that at the beginning it smells like I am grating a lemon and a lime. Fresh, zesty, but also a bit like apple cider vinegar.
Just stepped out of the shower, the window cracked to let the steam escape, the towel just hung up, and I sprayed the green liquid onto my damp skin
it immediately condenses into a lovely, floral iris and a sweet jasmine bloom. Floral, lovely, fresh. But not piercing, as I always read about other "citrusy" perfumes. It is more spring-like. A fresh June. Not a fresh March.
Freshly stepped out of the shower.
In my case, the only bit of luxury I could afford after my morning cat wash over the kitchen sink. Showering only in the evening at some friend's place.

The longer it stays on the skin, the more floral it becomes.

The longevity is okay. I'm glad when a perfume is gone by the evening and doesn't linger on my clothes for days.

A Light Green Crystal
As a teenager, I only knew No 5 by Chanel because my Aunt Gretchen wore it.
My childish nose couldn't make sense of the scent, which is why I crossed Chanel off my list.
I wore Y by YSL and found it much more beautiful.
But one day, I found a Cristalle sample in my shopping bag next to my Y purchase.
A Chanel? Let's see...
This clear, light scent made me forget my reservations about Chanel.
I happily let my boyfriend gift me the 100ml bottle.
I remembered this episode when my fragrance dealer handed me Eau Verte.
It was my beloved Cristalle with a delicate green touch.
Floral, citrusy, and softly powdered, it reaches my nose.
Fresh and elegant at the same time, with a subtle green tendency.
Spring feelings brighten the gray autumn.
Music: Here comes the sun.

Wanders between zesty Limoncello, dense magnolia and fresh laundry. Some airy kind of sweetness comes through after the initial green bite.

A fun light green uncomplicated unisex citrus freshie. Has more in common IMO with Eau de Cologne or Paris-Biarritz than Cristalle EDP

Classy, shiny, sparkling fresh green citrus with soft flowers. Elegant and easy at once. I wish it lasted longer.

Sparkling, easy but somewhat redundant flanker of OG
Refreshing, bright, light
Reserved, intimate and disappears too quickly.

A citrusy-fruity, non-floral splash for the hottest days of the year. Unisex, better than most niche scents out there.
