A Love Story? From ME??
Love Story… mu ha ha ha! You seriously don’t expect me to have a love story to tell, do you? *sigh* Unfortunately, I don’t have anything like that in store for myself *sob*
If I did, I might have annoyed you with it just as much as with my stories about the cat, or any nerdy stuff, or other craziness :D
But I just don’t have anything to say about love, waaah! *another sob* :DD
…
However, I can at least try to describe this fragrance here, which is also called Love Story, and compare it to the EDP. Admittedly (for me) this is only a small consolation, but at least a few women are reading this, unless everyone prefers to watch the semifinals in football, which could indeed be very exciting today :D
I don’t know exactly how plum blossoms smell, but even though a fruit and its blossom can smell quite different, there’s still a hint of a plum scent (at least to me), which is also a difference from the EDP, as I perceive this note much less in the EDP.
In the base, the fragrance smells mostly of (still not really identifiable) flowers, which are not cloying but light, making it well-suited for spring and summer. Neroli is still somewhat present, but much less than at the beginning. This is a difference from the EDP, where you can still smell the Neroli or orange blossoms quite well and intensely in the base. Another difference from the EDP is the woody notes like cedar, which are completely absent here in the EDT.
Oh, and the fragrance also gives off a slightly clean or fresh impression, even though I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as soapy.
The longevity is about six to eight hours, but in the later hours, the fragrance is very close to the skin.
So, I liked Love Story EDT. It is a gentle (albeit quite weakly projecting) fragrance that comes off as fresh and floral. It is not very sweet, so it should appeal to those who are not into sweet scents. It fits wonderfully into spring and summer, and I think the fragrance would unfold best on warm or even hot days, as I feel it could quickly be blown away or hardly noticeable on cold or windy days.
Due to its low projection, in my opinion, it is more suitable for daytime use than for going out; on the other hand, it would surely be good for open-air events and such, where you might quickly reapply.
The fragrance is also a bit clean and fresh, thus coming across as particularly feminine and also sexy, and I’m quite sure it must smell wonderful on your skin, ladies, although a man would have to get veeeery close to appreciate it… if he dares!!! Aaaaaaaaaarghghgh! :DD
As I said, I find the fragrance quite successful, so I would recommend giving it a try!

The Fragrance:
So, the fragrance starts for me with citrus notes, with Neroli being quite pleasant. It is a little sweet (which is also a small difference from the EDP, as the EDP starts off significantly sweeter) and floral. I don’t know exactly how plum blossoms smell, but even though a fruit and its blossom can smell quite different, there’s still a hint of a plum scent (at least to me), which is also a difference from the EDP, as I perceive this note much less in the EDP.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is rather low, so you have to get quite close to the wearer shortly after spraying to smell it on her. The fragrance radiates a little better around oneself, but this doesn’t last long either. The longevity is about six to eight hours, but in the later hours, the fragrance is very close to the skin.
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and has grooves in the glass. The chrome strip at the top of the bottle, where the brand name is engraved, gives the bottle a somewhat antique architectural look. There’s also a swiveling mechanism mounted at the top that acts like a carrying handle, with a ribbon hanging from it that has the same color as the fragrance liquid, which is pink. The cap is round and transparent. Like most Chloé bottles, I find this one quite lovely as well. So, I liked Love Story EDT.
