One of a handful of 10/10 perfumes
An outstanding and unique perfume for all situations. A personal must own - I love this stuff

This gentle and elegant citrusy green and woody perfume is balanced perfectly.
It’s fresh, it’s sensual from the smooth spices and amber, but it’s airy enough that it can and must be worn in all seasons

This is a refined and attractive businessperson’s unisex perfume, which is serious and sexy enough to be worn whenever you like
It does lean masculine but is imo more attractive on women

100% signature scent worthy - I haven’t smelled anything like this before
It reminds me of a summertime Italian Countryside Villa with a long driveway lined by tall strong green trees (yes the one from Gladiator)

I bought my bottle after wearing it once and it’s still one of my most precious

Personally I prefer this to Blonde Amber, but they’re both enormously high quality perfumes
(at very icky prices - don’t pay retail for them pls)

Our special connection... / Transformation artist / Insider tip of the series / Is it worth the money?
Hello everyone,

Today I would like to say a few words about "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress | Clive Christian" and why I think this.

Before I get to the (") most important things that will probably interest most of you, I want to say something about the bottle, the sprayer, the cap, and the packaging! You can think what you want about the company (like with any), but you have to give them one thing - the bottles (with the cap) are eye-catching, and on that point, I can only give a true (!) 10 out of 10. If someone gives an 8 or lower here, I really can't help them anymore. We are clearly and visibly in the absolute high-end range...

So now...

About the scent:

There is the statement "transformation artist," and I don't want to use any other synonym for it. It starts off very fresh and pleasing. You can notice the bergamot, the basil, the petitgrain, and already at the opening, the cypress (initially in the background, but increasingly prominent with each passing minute). In the opening, it is fresh, slightly spicy, a bit green, and subtly woody.

Then we experience a noticeable "twist," it becomes green, spicy, and slightly balsamic and woody due to the cypress. And now we come to a "beloved point" for me; I am a big fan of the scent of cypress (I have a special connection that goes back to my past + origin). When you use VERY high-quality and natural cypress oil (like here), you get a balsamically cooling effect, and this is noticeably pronounced here.

In the end, the cypress pulls back a bit, and woods like cedar and oak take the stage along with a portion of amber (noticeable), and in combination, these notes create a timeless, high-quality, and very "wealthy" aspect - you will love it - just like I do!

I find "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress | Clive Christian" to be somehow the truly best of the Noble series (of all, yes I also like "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian," but "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress | Clive Christian" gives me more and that special feeling.

And how is the performance:

For me, it’s around an 8 - 9!

And this brings me to the point of how it is received + when do I recommend it?

I would recommend it for any time and occasion.
It will never annoy you, never be too potent + intrusive,
rather a perfectly groomed (wealthy) gentleman...

About the price and is the scent worth the price....?

I really find it very hard to say "yes" or "100% no," because yes (!) it really does impress (and now an important point), you can already notice the fine tuning, the high-quality aspect, and you can tell that with most of the scents from the house it is like - oh come on, let’s add something better/more expensive...

Many houses in the niche sector, like MFK for example, primarily work on a synthetic basis, but here you can really notice a certain quality difference!!!!

My conclusion on the topic of price, purchase, and recommendation...,
IF you find a leftover bottle, take it and if possible, do NOT pay the full price,
then I recommend certain scents from the house, like this one!

The scents from this house are generally not performance monsters,
they are characterized by a noticeable and very decent composition,
tuning, selection of oils, etc., and for me, that is worth much more than a 16h
performance with a synthetic monster = personal opinion!

Its true potential is (unfortunately) seen by very, very few!

If I really weren't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny
_______

(Now the same as almost always - because it applies!)

Now to the topic of luxury:

As you can see in my profile, I have really smelled many scents, and there are scents where you can smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic note, and you quickly realize that some fragrance houses focus more on quantity than quality, and there are some where you can tell "oh come on, let’s add more + better," and you can smell that at the end of the day.

A brief word about the packaging, bottle, sprayer:

I’ll keep it short; I give a 10 out of 10 in every category, and I know very well that tastes are very different. So, if someone honestly rates this with a 7 or less... - PHEW. Beautiful and very high-quality cap, nice timeless bottle design, etc.... so I find it very hard to rate it differently, and I’m not saying this because I like or dislike a brand!

Now a short note about my opinion:

I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receiving money or anything else. I approach the topic of perfume as I am, being honest; anything else is not my style. My true personal opinion is worth a lot to me, and I hope you can tell that. If I don’t like something, like the packaging, bottle, sprayer, or H/S, I will communicate that too!

A special scent?
Deco Cypress was a blind buy for me. I had never really engaged with this fragrance before, and in this case, it was even an impulse purchase.

I think everyone knows the feeling when you look at the fragrance pyramid and suddenly think, I need that scent. This feeling hit me with Deco Cypress.

Deco Cypress really smells like the name suggests, of cypress. For me, cypress has always been a complicated note. Especially the classic in the realm of cypress fragrances couldn't convince me at all, "Blu Mediterraneo - Cipresso di Toscana | Acqua di Parma". Somehow, I always found the smell of cypress to be oddly green; I know that's not an adequate description of a note, but that's how I perceived cypress. Along with the cypress note, there’s also petitgrain, bergamot for a fresh note, and basil adds a bit more green to the fragrance. Ginger gives the scent a warm and spicy touch. I can't detect any woody notes at all. For me, the fragrance is fresh, green, and slightly spicy. Deco Cypress remains relatively linear throughout its duration, which doesn't bother me because I really like the scent. Only the fresher and greener top note could have lasted a bit longer.

The longevity is good for me. Deco Cypress lasts about 7 hours on my skin. The sillage is always just under an arm's length and becomes very close to the skin after about 5 hours.

For me, Deco Cypress is truly a special fragrance, and this fresh green is something completely different and exciting for the summer. In conclusion, I can say that this blind buy was a complete success for me.

Cypress in the Mirror of Art Deco
The Cypress as the XXI. men's fragrance from the Noble series is meant to transport the wearer to the French Riviera in the 1920s or 1930s. An era of freedom and openly displayed decadence. Not yet aware or choosing to ignore that the greatest calamity for the European continent is brewing. It is the social dance on a volcano.
I must admit that I would have expected a different scent from Art Deco. Something spicy, herbal, perhaps even floral notes, but far from it. One might also expect the smoky hints of a jazz bar.

However, the story of the French Riviera fits, if one does not only look for Art Deco in the metropolises of the 1920s. Here, it is cypress groves that surround beach promenades and terrace cafés in the seaside resorts of an elegant society that has escaped bourgeois narrow-mindedness.

The Cypress starts off fresh and slightly spicy thanks to bergamot and petitgrain. A wood note resonates from the very beginning.
But it is not a cypress that comes across as overly coniferous. It blends into a mixture of spices. I do not perceive ginger. Nutmeg and clove are very present, which makes the fragrance a clear men's scent. The oak note is inspired by brandy barrels from the Prohibition.

But everything comes together well. No note is intrusive, yet the overall concept is intense.
I perceive the Cypress as creamy, almost oversaturated. This intensifies in the base, likely due to amber.
This creaminess and intensity are something I notice in many creations by Clive Christian. Therefore, it should be dosed carefully, especially since the opening seems rather restrained, while the fragrance develops anything but discreetly.
After 10 hours, a lovely wood note is still perceptible close to the skin.

The bottle is, like all in the Noble series, very elegantly designed. Noble black, the red Roman numerals on the black bottle enhance its value.
The Art Deco Cypress is certainly a candidate that may complement my collection.

Shares similarities with TF Italian Cypress, but this is better in my opinion. Crazy authentic cypress opening. A bit mature, but very nice.

After an uplifting citric spicy-green opening, this bright and clean, rather dry spicy-woody Fougère, settles to a gentle earthy-woody base.

Delicious spicy citrusy woods. Absolutely NOT a summer perfume though - it’s very dense. Literally unwearable above 23 Celsius, but lovely.

Lemon juices,
green accents,
strong nutmeg spice,
so far, so good.
But the amber cream overpowers the cedarwood.
And I hate cream.

Not a bad fougère, but the cypress that gives it its name is hardly noticeable. Overall, it's rather creamy-spicy. Not enough for the price.

There’s deep pleasure in the dark forest green, very present cypress paired with the finest citrus and noble woods … a delight!
