VII: Queen Anne - Rock Rose Clive Christian 2016

Many people talk about this fragrance as being incredibly simple, I tend to agree but there is definitely a complexity and a backbone to this fragrance. Where this perfume shines is in its projection which will fill a room. The scent is quite common and smells designerish but with a clive christian luxury signature touch which makes this perfume special. It is definitely pricy for what it is but presentation makes up for a lot of the cost too. When you see the presentation you know that you got yourself a fine fragrance.
In terms of smell, I've gotten lots of compliments with this one and I really love wearing it, it definitely gets you noticed and definitely a safe good smelling masculine scent. Amazing for summer

VII: Queen Anne - Rock Rose has an unmistakable pepper, bergamot, and neroli opening. Even for someone like me who still can't distinguish notes very well, I can clearly smell these. The lavender is also apparent and gives it the masculine feel that I was curious about. Before trying this fragrance, I asked myself what would label this as masculine.

The florals are blended very nicely with the pepper. Nothing is overwhelming and none of the notes is trying to grab my attention more than the others.

Interestingly, I smell the base notes (aside from cocoa) from within ten minutes of spraying. The slight sweetness from the florals becomes heavier with amber and there's a slight smell of grass stains somewhere in there.

Average performance. Beautifully done but far too pricey.

if you're judging this fragrance off the name you would be wrong, this fragrance has no rose in it. This fragrance is a better smelling version of PDM Percival they are both very similar, but Rock Rose has very poor longevity it only lasts for me for about 2 hours on skin and clothing. If you want something with this type of scent i would look elsewhere as it is not worth the money in my opinion.

Get the ripe citrus in the opening yet superfresh and clean. Yes, has an Axe Apollo resemblance reviewers killing me with that one, but it's a quick moment though, not overal or DNA. Luv Axe Apollo and was first signature scent back in them early 2000s, so had to go full speed ahead with the Rock Rose blind buy!
Get the nondominant Lavander Sage accord, not heavy, not operpowering the freshness, get a bit Mint accord from Timeless, but joyful. Perfect Pepper, recognize the Clive C I guess base methodology, incredibly smooth, bitters always so greatly blended and ballanced. Agree it's an everyday grabber, but it brings a lot to it, dense, hitting a lot of marks.
