Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic Clive Christian 2017

JUMP UP AND KISS ME ECSTATIC is one of the most intoxicating white floral scent which I know. Bitter sweet orange adds the brightness and guides the senses to the rich floral heart. Seductive and sexy Tuberose is the main player but the blend is so complex that this is much more than Tuberose scent. I like how Jasmine and Orange Blossom are balancing a heady Tuberose since it can be challenging for me sometimes. Ylang-Ylang adds not only an exotic touch but the sweetness as well and Sandalwood in the base complements the creaminess together with it. Amber and Tonka Bean together ensure the depth in the blend but they don’t make it dark in any kind of they and Amber doesn’t perform in an usual way - it doesn’t bring any resinous, balsamic nor oriental character to the scent. This is very special white floral even if it’s not so unique scent than Hedonistic.

If thinking the creamy, mellow texture it’s in the same category with Love Tuberose but the scent differs and Ecstatic is more complex. They both have their own specialities, Love Tuberose having a clear realistic whipped cream in it while Ecstatic has a captivating exotic aroma in it. I had a decant of Ecstatic and Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic for many years before buying the bottle of both and honestly I just couldn’t decide what I’m thinking about it. Like I have written in my statement earlier, sometimes I thought that this is too linear and I was disappointed in it but I was comparing it too much with Hedonistic which is much more unique for sure. Anyway, after giving up the idea of choosing just one of the two, I also began to see more clearly the beauty and uniqueness of Ecstatic and I am incredibly glad I bought both and have them now in my collection. Both are luxurious, head-turners with extremely high quality and exceptionally skillful blending. I have written a review of Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic as well.

The longevity is eternal, easily the whole day.

I don't find this similar at all with any in "Smells similar" list. Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic differs a lot even if you can sense that they are in the same collection. I have "Casamorati - 1888 | Xerjoff" , Red Iceberg , Danger Parfum , and La Fenice pour Femme and none of them sell similar at all. Torino23 I don't have but I don't like it at all. The only connection which I can make is with Love Tuberose and it's because of the texture mentioned earlier. Tuberose in them has a lot of similarities as well even if the overall scent is a bit different.

The blend contains 219 ingredients and the entire list of the notes is not releaved.

One of my final non-2026 reviews before I kick off with some new releases that arrived in the past week. Since coverage will kick off with Strange Heavens Out of the Blue, I wanted to make sure that I've smelled the other Clive Christian products that have garnered some comparisons to the aforementioned release. Given I wear Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic quite often and do also own XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber, I figured revisiting Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic was an obvious step in the process.

Quite some time has passed since I first visited Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic. My first notes were from September 2024 and I am revisiting it now as I write this review in February 2026. In both cases, the scent very clearly opens feminine and features a prominent spicy-floral DNA with some sweet tones alongside it. On the first wear, my notes put heavy emphasis on the bubblegum (yellow) floral nuances, but as I revisit it, I primarily smell tuberose instead with the note overlap coming from Clive Christian's XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber. I'd say Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic also features some of the same base notes from I: Amber Oriental, but fragrances like Royal Crown's Nima and Casamorati's "Casamorati - 1888 | Xerjoff" also aren't distant comparisons when we're analyzing Ecstatic without the floral tones. In the final dry-down beyond hour 3 or so, the creaminess outpowers the spiciness as the scent settles on a creamy-sweet and somewhat buttery texture, I'd argue reminiscent of the way it's done in Roja's Lost in Paris.

Ecstatic has garnered comparisons to Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic on various websites and while I didn't understand those comps back in 2024, I can see some of the vision for them now. Specifically, Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic features notes like opium, cocoa leaf and wormwood in the heart and those notes appear to be smoothing out the woody-amber ones in the same manner as they do in Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic. It's very obviously not comparable to Hedonistic from a general accord structure, given Ecstatic is primarily floral, but considering that Ecstatic features good note overlap with Clive Christian's primary hero franchises, it sure feels like there's space to rate it higher - or is there?

You see, Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic and XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber are great high-depth fragrances that develop well. With Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic, you get a scent that is heavily centered on the floral tones and while the sweet-spicy amber base notes are done well, they don't introduce much depth to the structure of the fragrance as you are still primarily wearing a floral fragrance, not an amber one. From a "sum of the parts" approach, Ecstatic does more than a simple tuberose-forward sweet-spicy floral such as Xerjoff's P.13, but relative to all of the accords featured in XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber, it is significantly more barebones. Execution of the overall package isn't as impressive either as the product isn't smoothed out as well. Ultimately, that is reflected in my rating: I think Ecstatic has its place in Clive's catalogue as a lesser Blonde Amber, but that obviously reduces its recommendability and given the products are priced on-par at €565/50ml, the valuation also becomes worse (albeit grey market availability of Ecstatic is significantly better). Across 2 wears, I am estimating moderate-to-strong performance with approx. 10 hours of longevity and sustained sillage within arms length.

All-in-all, that makes for a solid product on its own, but nothing is viewed strictly in a vacuum. Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic doesn't have the depth necessary to match up with scents like Hedonistic & Blonde Amber, but given the structures aren't in full overlap either, I believe it would be smarter to compare it to the floral-forward woody-amber fragrances that I mentioned previously (such as Nima and "Casamorati - 1888 | Xerjoff") and relative to those fragrances, Ecstatic isn't as far off the pace as this review might've implied - it's just lagging relative to the best that Clive Christian has to offer (and that in of itself is an extremely high benchmark).

This is a scent I can’t live without.
Every year I am waiting for the spring and summer time to wear this scent. It is amazing in every way, very feminine and elegant. I got most of my compliments on this scent which I rend to over spray a bit. For me it is truly intoxicating and shines the best on a hot summer night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something unique and very high quality.

My first impression of Ecstatic immediately reminded me of methyl anthranilate. Right from the opening, there's a delicate bubblegum like nuance that briefly appears, adding an unexpected playful touch. Fortunately, it fades rather quickly, allowing the fragrance to reveal its true identity.
What follows is an exceptionally refined and elegant composition. The transition from that fleeting sweetness into a smooth, luxurious accord feels effortless, giving the fragrance a polished and sophisticated character rather than a gourmand one.
Performance is exactly what you would expect from Clive Christian. The projection is immense, creating a beautiful scent trail without feeling harsh, while the longevity is simply outstanding. Ecstatic remains present for hours, maintaining its luxurious aura from start to finish.

A fragrance that may surprise you during the first few minutes, but rewards patience with remarkable elegance and exceptional performance.

In a city that never slept, a heavy, gilded door opened to a hidden club. Inside, no music played yet, and yet there was an expectation in the air that clung to the walls like electric crackling.

Then Ecstatic entered. Not a person, not a shadow but a presence of light and aroma. Bitter orange and zesty mandarin glided through the room like a smile, followed by a hint of pink pepper that quickened hearts. The conversations fell silent.

With each step Ecstatic took, the air began to pulse. Frankincense and spicy nuances swirled like mysterious dancers, while dark patchouli crept from the corners, as if to whisper in the ears of the brave in the crowd: “Dare to.”

Then, exactly at midnight, Ecstatic raised a hand and the music erupted. The night danced. No one knew whether hours or seconds passed. Time was dissolved, merged in a cloud of warmth, sharpness, and seductive depth.

When morning came, Ecstatic had vanished. Only a fleeting scent remained in the dawn, a promise that every encounter with it would be a night of ecstasy.
My conclusion:

I find that the text captures the atmosphere of Ecstatic quite well; it is sensual, slightly mysterious, and plays with images that make the scent appear almost like a living figure. The idea of staging the fragrance as a charismatic presence in a vibrant night conveys the combination of zesty freshness and dark depth effectively.

If I had to criticize something, it might be that for a marketing piece it could appear a touch more condensed-fewer concise sentences, but even more pointed. However, as a narrative approach, it definitely sparks curiosity, and that is exactly what a fragrance text should do.
