Same Stunning
Since these days I'm focused on really good niche perfumers, it's no surprise when a new stunner arrives. Just the other day I was fainting on the floor from Slumberhouse Lanz. Now arrives a surprise from hubby who sent this similarly brilliant Ambergris, Iris, Boronia and Sandalwood creation. David Seth Moltz adds copper to the mix instead of Ambrette seed, Cedar instead of Oud. It makes me think of sitting in the radio room of the Titanic, desperately telegraphing* as the plush ship went down. The copper brings the metal being pounded, Cedar and Balsam fir bring the man at the wooden desk, and Ambergris the sea. This is a just gorgeous scent with perhaps slightly more longevity and projection than Josh's Lanz. I'm wearing it and the only reason I'm not on the floor is I was there all day before yesterday with Lanz.

One more is coming, the new Bogue, and I can barely stand the wait. I'm at the point where I'll buy anything these three houses produce, sight unseen...or rather, scent unsmelled.

Freshly Cut Woods in the Summer Sun
I love the scent of freshly cut, aromatic woods, so I generally enjoy this fragrance a lot. A metallic, slightly spicy cedar hits at first. Over time, this fades into a more floral, softened woody aroma, as the sandalwood and iris begin to dominate over the cedar and copper.

The projection seems decent for the first 30-45 minutes, although it becomes much closer to the skin afterwards. I think this scent would fair better in dryer conditions, as it gets a bit overwhelmed and lost in the humid summer where I live. Lasts about 4-5 hours total, which is a bit underwhelming longevity (more like a 6.5 than a 7 for me). I expect in cooler or dryer weather this might be longer.

Overall, this perfume does a good job of a evoking a vintage radio room quality, producing something with a bit more depth than I expected. The smell has really grown on me over times using it, but I can't help but feel like it disappears too quietly?

All the *~*CEDAR*~*
Immediately after spraying: *~*CEDAR*~*

In all caps. With fancy punctuation.

There is a distinct metallic note running through it, as though you leaned down and sniffed the hinges on a cedar chest.

About 20 minutes in I get a strange whiff of bandaid, and then in another 20 minutes or so I *swear* I can smell bell pepper (unfortunately the only food I hate). Looking at the notes, I have no idea what was going on here.

The cedar persists for me the entire time, and unfortunately I never quite pick up on fir or the coconut note, which would both lend this a bit more evolution and personality.

Projection, sillage, and longevity are moderate. It tilts a bit masculine, but I would still consider it unisex.

Just as long as you love *~*CEDAR*~*

The Creamiest of Sandalwood
I recently took an international flight to Tokyo and before my flight I had access to a lounge. The restroom in the lounge had Radio Bombay hand soap in the restrooms and I fell in love. I immediately ordered a bottle of the fragrance for myself.

Radio Bombay starts out with a mild metallic note over slightly spicy sandalwood. The metallic note quickly fades and then it starts to develop a really creamy nature with the addition of what smells like coconut husk. This is not a cheap sunscreen sweet coconut. It’s very much a dry coconut that just serves to further smooth out the woody base.

Radio Bombay lasts quite a while on me and it will definitely project far if oversprayed. 2-3 sprays and this is the perfect warm weather scent to wear to the beach. It also does have enough umph behind it to where you could also wear this in the colder months if the mood struck you.

I could see this also being a very nice fragrance to have to layer with something else to give it a creamy sandalwood base.

Coconut in a Wooden Box
Absolutely love how this opens with the lightest hint of a very natural coconut, not COCONUT (yelling), not sunscreen, just natural fruit of that tree, and then quickly blends into sandalwood and cedar. It is creamy and lovely in the dry down - like fresh coconut shavings in a recently carved wooden box. Refined and simple and surprisingly delicate for a house that often makes louder fragrances.

Is it a radio? Is it in Bombay? Maybe. What I know for sure is that this woody, dry, metallic scent gave me an unexpected compliment

A bone-dry sandalwood scent, like copper wires entangled in an old radio.

Great interplay of wood, coconut, and metallic notes. Great scent in heat, sits fairly close to the skin, medium longevity.

Dill leaves in the opening, then ambergris and coconut dominate most of the scent. Some darker, heavier woody notes linger around.

One of the nicest masculine leaning coconut fragrances. Dry, non-sweet coconut over creamy sandalwood. Perfect summer scent.

Neutral woodiness on first spray. I felt no strong feelings about it. Over time turned into an unpleasantly sharp nose burner for me.

On my skin this is a very subtle, inoffensive and linear sandalwood which reminds me of pencil shavings. Impression was much better on paper
