Who wants a cookie?
Oh, another Demeter.
But wait, no. This time it won't be another test series (what a shame...), but just a single test because I kindly received a sample of this fragrance.
Well, despite some oddly smelling fragrances from Demeter, I expect a good scent here. Hey, after all, we're talking about cookies. And if they smell authentic,... then happy munching! :D
Alright, let's go!
The scent:
The fragrance starts off a bit powdery and sweet, but then it actually smells like butter cookies, and quite naturally, although a bit too strong. Yes, I don't think butter cookies smell this strong unless you're inhaling the crumbs :D
But still, it's quite well done and really close to real cookies.
The sillage and longevity:
The projection is strong, but only at the beginning. It's almost as if you have butter cookies in front of you that are a bit crumbled, causing the scent to rise more intensely. Not bad, but unfortunately, it doesn't stay at this level for long.
The longevity is okay; it lasted about six hours on me, maybe even a bit longer.
The bottle:
The bottle is as always,… uh wait… WHERE is the bottle? Someone took the bottle away and I only see the blue placeholder here, but even this drawing looks better than the original! No, not really… oh, it's hard to find the bottle online too, as it seems it hasn't been produced for quite some time… but if it still existed, it would be rectangular and practical as always with an overloaded label showing a bar in some color with "Butter Cookies" written on it. So, all in all, rather unremarkable, but that's just speculation :D
Therefore, I won't rate the bottle here.
Hmm, not bad. Butter Cookies is one of the scents from Demeter that doesn't smell bizarre. Moreover, it mostly smells authentic and good, but it's not perfect. Because something bothers me; I think it's because real cookies don't smell that strong.
Well, you can give it a try, but I don't think you'll see the scent anywhere. But don't worry, that's okay because Demeter has other cookie scents (hmm… Chocolate Chip Cookie must smell great!).
So what can you use the scent for?
Maybe to say, "And whoever is nice gets a cookie!" he he. And then there will be complaints because it's a plain butter cookie and not a chocolate cookie, but hey, dipped in tea (or coffee, for that matter) butter cookies taste great, unless they break apart and turn the hot drink into hot mush! Buuuahhh… I bet that has happened to you too, right?
