A burst of Freshness
I was a little uncertain whether I’d be getting tomato *leaf* or juicy tomato *flesh*. Happy to report it’s the leaves, fresh and bright. It doesn’t last long (predictably, because it’s Demeter), but for the price it’s a good layering option. I spritzed some in my hair and got it to last a little extra.
I want to compare it to L’Artisan Vetiver Ecarlate, which is the next most realistic tomato leaf I’ve encountered, and much more expensive. VE opens with citrus and has a cooler, woodier undertone from the vetiver. VE also, unsurprisingly, has better staying power. Demeter Vetiver is a solid alternative for a green stan on a budget, but expect to reapply. You could also layer the two up, maybe with the roller ball version of Tomato.
