Strong woody oud
Agar Intense is a pretty nice animalic oud fragrance. In the opening, I did not get any barnyard or cheesy type of oud smell. It does open with a rather rough leathery animalic smell that comes across slightly as a garage - sorta mix of rubber tires, oil and gasoline, with the emphasis on the rubber. The garage doesn't last very long - maybe about less than 15 minutes. It then transforms into a beautiful woody oud scent with a touch of green. Scent pretty much stays that way. Longevity is quite good while sillage is more moderate after about the first half hour. The is a masculine fragrance. To sell it as unisex makes the gender classifications meaningless.
I have never smelled the Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense, so can't say how close Agar Intense is to it. While I like Agar Intense, I won't be getting it. I've been spoiled and much prefer Amouage's Opus XIII Silver Oud which has much more depth and development as it dries down. Granted, it's significantly more expensive and has real oud. While it doesn't smell like Agar Intense, there are similarities with the woody oud. Agar Intense could be considered a budget friendly fragrance for a guy who wants a strong oud fragrance.
