Jasmine Doir des Anges
House Christian Dior-Jasmin des Anges

I fell in love with Jasmine des Anges.

In Jasmine des Anges, it is exactly the jasmine that I love the most. It's an absolutely dominant note that isn't hampered by anything that suppresses it and doesn't allow it to come out in its full glory in its most beautiful edition.
There are no resins here, nothing heavy, balsamic. However, this is not just any floral fruity perfume.

Quite explosive in the opening, as if all the notes are coming to the surface as fast as they can. Jasmine at this stage is full of passion, beautiful, seductive, intoxicating.

Bergamot adds freshness and a bit of sharpness, accentuating this passionate note.
Bergamot in perfumes often knows how to take the lead, especially in the opening.
In this perfume, that's not the case; its role is secondary this time.
Here he is the "spice" without which the "dish" would not succeed, but the "dish" is not named after him. ?

This initial rhapsody of passion is followed by a somewhat calmer phase in which peaches and apricots can already be clearly distinguished.
Here the bergamot is already somewhat lost and the entire composition takes on a moderately sweet tone.

I think that Osmantus at this stage is the one that holds everything freshly together, overpowering this fruit and as a complex floral adding layering and depth to this perfume, perhaps a bit of an enigma.

In the final stage, although white musk and vanilla are the base, jasmine is still the main note, but now creamy, soft, cozy, soothing.

Jasmine des Anges is a perfume of which I love all phases equally. Jasmine is like a chameleon here, in each phase it shows a different face.

A perfume of passion, infatuation, love .
Elegant, romantic, a bit nostalgic.

The scent wraps around you so gently..

Jasmin des Anges is a fragrance that embraces you.

an "English" pleasure
A newer fragrance creation that wonderfully highlights the master's personal preference for lily of the valley and jasmine - the two classic white flowering plants: "La Collection Privée - Jasmin des Anges"

Jasmine is noble in scent, but sometimes also slightly pompous/"stinky": then the decomposition of the flowers has already begun - I like this "degree of maturity" quite a lot!
The first thought is: a shrub with such a balsamic flowering aroma must be highly cultivated and elegant.
Jasmine, like honeysuckle and elderberry, can be found in every farm garden. Even on our farm it grew as a hedge: cut two or three times a year more or less expertly. It did not resent anything and bloomed again and again.

And so angels are certainly not always fine and protective or powerful, threatening and dominating.
(As Rainer Maria Rilke said in the first of his Duino Elegies: "Every angel is terrible!")
Let's not forget the cute little putti (Cherubini), who look happily into the world and enjoy themselves carefree.

In this fragrance creation from the house of Christian Dior, I see these angels as rather childlike, strong and lively creatures, with reddish, round cheeks and blonde curls, romping happily and laughing through an orchard.
They wear thick, somewhat carelessly braided wreaths of flowering jasmine twigs and, as they tumble merrily, richly spread its noble aroma.
The ripe yellow-orange fruits of the apricot trees are within their reach and of course these little rascals plaster quite a few. And they don't mind the sticky sweet juice running down their fingers - that can be licked off!

"Jasmine des Anges" is a magically vibrant fragrance, without the other aesthetic noblesse.
With me it develops warm in soft, cuddly waves: Jasmine, which nestles up against juicy apricots, a little sticky maybe, but beautiful!
But there is something else I meet in the course of the hours: I think I feel a touch of pleasant white vanilla and a few drops of sandalwood oil - as a kind of stabilizer
On my skin this "Jasmine des Anges" is not a classic scent of the elegant lady.
It is also suitable when the hair does not fit perfectly and simply provides time for a relaxed contemplative hour.
This creation is like a soft sofa with lots of opulent cushions in wool white and apricot, in which you can sink into lustfully and send your thoughts on the most beautiful journeys.

For the now slowly getting longer evenings Christian Dior's "Jasmin des Anges" will probably be one of my regular companions. Luckily the bottling was quite generous.
This cuddly companion stays with me and will surely be back on some evenings with a glass of white wine (Why do I remember "Pouilly-Fumé" now? It could well be a Muscadet here) and a fine piece of chocolate or a praline

Appeasement in the home office...

Computers make me aggressive, especially when they do not work the way I want them to. For musically active people, who are forced by their corona to so-called "online teaching" in sound quality that is sometimes similar to a ghost train, dealing with devices and "audio equipment" can become a real torture.
If you also have a "treasure" at home, from whose "home office cloakroom door" it is "smoking" all day long in front of international video conferences, it is good to find methods to at least calm yourself - and a fragrance also has an effect on the environment.
Actually, in spring and early summer I like pure floral scents like Dior's "J'adore", which is unfortunately only a shadow of itself, or Gucci's "Flora", which is too sparkling for me at the moment - for whatever reason.
Pure floral fragrances give me an unbeatable positive attitude, a kind of untouchable "princess position". They lift your mood even higher if you're already feeling good - but if you're already very annoyed, they have the opposite effect. Pure floral scents also promote a precise perception and a slightly perfectionist thinking. But when I'm annoyed and stressed, I need something else, namely comfort and soothing, in other words: vanilla.
A few months ago, Jasmin des Anges crossed my path just in time, just before Corona, so that the bottling was already at my place at the time of the crisis. During the initial testing (even before the crisis), the fragrance seemed a little pale at first, the flower kick was missing, was not strong enough for me, but still the fragrance had been pleasant from the first sprayer on. It didn't sting in my nose, didn't cause a coughing sensation and just smelled very pleasant - and yes - somehow flowery and comforting.
Interestingly enough, since the online phase, i.e. in the middle of the computer, cable and microphone chaos, I have been using Jasmin des Anges again and again, because I notice that he makes me softer, less annoyed, more compatible with the circumstances I have to face Directly when spraying on the bergamot gives you a positive kick to wake up and pause, then follows first of all aromatic jasmine, which comes through the osmanthus beautifully creamy and soft in my nose. Peach and apricot add fruitiness and sweetness, which is given a light touch of sensuality, warmth and heredity by vanilla and white musk. I have taken the fragrance pyramid from Fragrantica,
as the fragrance goes far beyond the notes of jasmine and peach in my opinion. It becomes complex in a light-footed way, but never heavy. It is floral, creamy, light and yet absolutely elegant. It has the freshness of pure floral scents, but not their distance and arrogance. Instead, he gives you and your immediate surroundings warmth and comfort, which is then reflected in your own mood.

Who'd have thought it? As life goes on, I use it almost every day now, because in these on the one hand dull and on the other hand very annoying times it simply caresses my soul, reminds me that there is also beauty, peace and harmony - and, what is equally important, that I can dress elegantly and enjoy life...at the latest when my husband and I go out to eat in the restaurant of our confidence the next time. With the current distance rules, the table next to me won't notice any Jasmin des Anges, but my table neighbours will, because the Sillage reaches 1.5 metres, if you spray yourself properly. I can well imagine the scent in all seasons, although I would increase the dose in winter.
John Lennon once said: "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."
That's how I feel right now
By the way, I tend to buy or wish to buy Jasmin des Anges because it soothes me so much, it's worth it for everyone involved...
