A flying visit to Paris
Unfortunately, I only know Paris from stopovers - and only fell into bed there tired.
So I can only praise the Paris hotels that always offered me a comfortable roof over my head.
But I haven't experienced savoir vivre.
I imagine Paris to be very romantic and picturesque.
So I wanted to travel with Eisenberg Back to Paris.
I was expecting dim bohemian, and crooked attic charm as I found it in rouge et noir.
Something oh la la and tres chique.
But Back to Paris could also lead to any other city - to a well-kept hotel.
The statement of the fragrance is calm, clear - but unspecific.
Fresh bergamot becomes aquatic through the mandarin - and the rhubarb note blends in well.
Flowery, gently powdered with iris and violet.
A hint of vanilla floats over it - and you have nothing to complain about.
You don't get scared with it.
But the Paris of my imagination is not before my eyes.
No musette music - no dance sous le ciel de Paris.
I am missing a piece of atmosphere in Back to Paris - which I found luckily in rouge et noir.
