Once black coffee with a lot of sugar, please!
The Eisenberg fragrances have never really impressed me. Too simple, too little character, and too unbalanced have they appeared to me so far.

However, the scent pyramid of J'Ose Homme piqued my curiosity again. Since yesterday was a dark, chilly day, I hoped that J'Ose Homme would provide me with a cozy fragrance experience. So was my (wishful) expectation.

But as often happens in life, desire and reality can drift apart. Right after spraying, it starts off fresh, with the freshness carrying a sweet veil, which I find unusual but not bad.
Immediately afterwards, I feel like I've spilled a cup of coffee (or mocha?) with a lot of vanilla and sugar. It's actually quite a nice café scent, not too much and not too little. But then the vanilla really clings to my nose! It’s not a fine vanilla accord that comes off naturally, but a rather nasty synthetic imitation.
OK, one cannot and should not compare Eisenberg's vanilla to that of, for example, Guerlain (different league, different galaxy), but if it’s going to be synthetic, then at least make it somewhat true to nature and not so clumsy and overpowering.
Beneath this thick layer of artificial vanilla, musk and patchouli occasionally peek through. However, they have no real chance to unfold properly.

So the scent remains and leaves me feeling "uncomfortable." For me personally, it’s not a cozy scent; I know and have better ones. But thankfully, tastes differ! At least I am richer for the experience and it confirms to me that Eisenberg and I probably don’t really match.

Rochas Man + Almonds
I recently tested this fragrance out of curiosity.
Judging by the comments, it smells like Rochas Man.
I actually agree with that. However, there is a quite strong almond or marzipan note included here.
By the way, the bottle now looks like the ones of the other Jose Eisenberg fragrances as well.

Not Quite Convincing
I just tested the fragrance. Together with Rochas Man. Definitely copied.
I didn't even know which wrist had what on it.
After a few hours, this one turned out to be more long-lasting than Rochas, but I find Jose to smell extremely of synthetic? vanilla. This vanilla dominates the entire fragrance so much that everything else is completely pushed into the background. It comes off as very intrusive.
The whole scent seems a bit artificial and chaotic to me.
I don't know, but I don't think it's for me, even though it is very, very similar to Rochas.

......beautiful, gone quickly and yet not quite so much
A sample fluttered into my hands. I know Eisenberg from the Douglas advertisements, the packaging didn't particularly pique my curiosity. But since the sample is here, it will be tested.

I don't really want to go into details, as the listed top and heart notes fly by too quickly. Coffee?? I can't really say, if anything, a chocolate-covered coffee bean that was stolen from some cake. The fresh opening is not citrusy fresh, but already sweetened. No icing, no, not even lemonade.... I really like that. I can't categorize the scent, and I don't want to compare it.

The longevity of the fresh ingredients is really very low on my skin. I am surprised to barely sense the remnants after hardly 30 minutes, in vain. But despite the disappointment over this seemingly almost non-existent longevity, I find J'Ose good, BECAUSE...... every now and then, with movements (getting up from the couch, sitting down on the couch, shifting on the couch!!) an incredibly pleasant, warm breeze brushes past my nose. I couldn't imagine that the turbo-sweet fresh scent was it, and yet, it was. Fascinating, now the result seems somehow familiar to me, without being able to categorize it. I haven't encountered such a pronounced warm musk note in the base of a men's fragrance before. Years ago, I had an American scent called "Skin," which smelled similar.

Anyway, my description of this end is simple: ambered feel-good musk with warm patchouli undertones (decentissimo). And that even lasts until waking up (from about 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM), which is not bad.

J'Ose doesn't knock anyone over, but it's there. Skin scent for men?? Nope, a woman can wear it just as well, anytime.

Addendum:
Just saw on the Eisenberg page that J'Ose actually qualifies as unisex, it is categorized for both men and women.

Coffee to go!
Fortunately, the scent aura holds back and doesn't flood the room, as it would be quite uncomfortable for me if my office smelled like a coffee roastery. Although I actually have more of an impression of chocolate or cocoa and not so much of coffee and mocha. I can't pick out any of the other listed fragrance notes. A faint hint of freshness, but that's about it. What on earth possessed me to spend money on this when I already have much more interesting perfumes in this fragrance category?

The intensity is thankfully rather low, while the longevity is quite high. Conclusion: if you enjoy such gourmand scents, you might as well get this one too; I could have easily done without it. Upper mid-range, with good intentions.
