Gentle Seducer
"Lustfully bending, inclined to surrender," this is how the fragrance is advertised on the Douglas homepage, and it leans quite far out the window, making me skeptical at first. But after wearing it for a few days, I too have fallen for it. A heartfelt thank you to the lovely donor.

The top note exudes a Mediterranean flair for me: fresh bergamot wonderfully combines with blackcurrant, which seems a bit unripe, as it is only slightly sweet and berry-like. The cypress is a bit piercing and thus has a needly effect, but this impression is very interesting. I can't perceive the pepper at all here. This phase lasts about an hour, then a fine vanilla note joins in, which makes me rave, as it feels so natural and not cookie-like as I have criticized in other perfumes. For me, the maritime notes smell slightly mineral, like fine wet sand, only minimally earthy and still pleasantly light and fresh. I can't really identify the rose here, but jasmine and violet complement each other beautifully. From here, the fragrance takes on a fine gourmand touch and is very special and unique. The scent changes significantly while wearing it. The base is the most beautiful part. Fluffy white musk and tonka bean merge into a soft blanket, with vanilla coming more to the forefront, rounded off by sandalwood and a hint of patchouli. A dream that I would love to dive into. And fortunately, this state lasts long; the longevity for me is about 12 hours.

Overall, I really like Tentation because the fragrance is very versatile and adapts well to my daily rhythm. In the morning, it is fresh and invigorating; in the evening, it is cuddly and calming. The sillage is just right for my taste. The perfume knows its allure and doesn't need to shout it out loud. Since it is so special, it does require a certain maturity, thus it is not a girly scent but well-suited for women who are looking for something away from mainstream fragrances.

Tentation means temptation, and in this case, I am gladly succumbed to it more often. :-)

He doesn’t seduce me
An extremely original fragrance, whose top notes almost immediately grant a very pronounced appearance to the heart. This features rose, jasmine, violet, and a so-called "marine accord" as described by the manufacturer. I have rarely encountered something more bizarre in perfumery than this mixture, as components are intertwined here that, in my opinion, do not harmonize.
In the end, the best part of this perfume comes, namely the soft, beautiful drydown of musk, tonka bean, vanilla, and patchouli.
The grandiosely titled "L'Art du Parfum" Eisenberg line from 2010, which obviously aims to connect with the niche fragrance hype, presents artistically designed packaging (Juares Machado designed the images for the boxes), while the bottles themselves, with their relatively clumsy design, do not make any collector's heart race. The perfumes with sexy names like "Le Peché = The Sin," "Love Affair," or "Tentation = Seduction" are all rather mediocre than expressions of the highest perfume art. By the way, the best scent in the line is called "So French!" and vaguely reminds me of the perfume "J'ai osé," which was previously produced by Guy Laroche.
"Tentation" by Eisenberg is a strong, floral-oriental scent that has quite exciting facets. Especially the "drydown" impresses me, but until I can enjoy it, I have to "torture" myself with the top and heart notes for too long.
"Tentation" does not evoke great desire in me (as advertised on the outer packaging, which states: "Desire bends, inclines, and submits").

At the Edge of Temptation
I am drawn to the Art Deco-inspired packaging of Eisenberg, and I feel that I have made a good choice with rouge et noir.

So, I continue to search for gold in Eisenberg.
Not everything that glitters has been gold so far, but Tentation appeals to me.

Interestingly, the word "Tentation" always makes me think of "Tentacle" - and they are indeed reaching out for me.

Soft and unobtrusive, a fresh - tangy bergamot - blackcurrant tentacle lays itself on my skin.
Very pleasantly supported by green cypress.
The marine notes announce proximity to the sea - and the fragrance maintains a clear transparency despite its floral components.
However, deep patchouli and sweet vanilla prevent it from drifting directly into the aquatic - or even sporty.
No, sandalwood plus tonka also lend a rounded creaminess.

Flowing casual elegance wraps around me and puts me in a shopping mood.

Even Tentation is in a good mood and lively despite its elegant note.

If I find a 50ml bottle, I will succumb to its delicate temptation.

Schooossse, put the rum away!
I came across this fragrance from the brand Eisenberg when I was indecisive about what to test and was advised by one of the ladies at Douglas (by the way, I was looking for a vanilla-powder scent, and this one has nothing to do with that). Until now, I had ignored the plain and unadorned bottles of the brand; the outer packaging didn't appeal to me either, so it took a while before I tested my first Eisenberg.
With Tentation, I think back to my school days: I was in 11th grade, and we had a rather "special" math teacher. She was certainly once an enthusiastic person, but with our class (28 boys and 4 girls), she was hopelessly overwhelmed. So we spent most of the time doing everything but math. Once, we watched "The Matrix." But the fight scenes were fast-forwarded; it was all about the math behind the film!
And at Christmas, we made gifts for our parents. Wine boxes and rum balls, "Only with Rumaramo, of course!"
Of course, we didn't care, so we stood there with rum bottles in the chemistry lab, mixing something together that could only be given to the blind - the things didn't look appetizing at all.

But the smell... Hmmmmmm!!! In my memory, those rum balls smelled exactly like "Tentation"! I don't know where this note comes from, but Tentation clearly smells of rum and chocolate, from beginning to end.

Alongside the sharp, almost piercing rum aroma, I can definitely perceive pink pepper and cypress in the top note, but only if I concentrate hard. It's a lovely blend of the green spiciness of cypress and the mild sharpness of pepper. Quite soon, a delicate vanilla note can be discerned in the background, which becomes more dominant as time goes on.
Violets and deep red roses join in, but I can't (unfortunately) make out the jasmine. The scent becomes fluffier, warmer, and softer. The sharp aroma of the pepper and the rum dissipate, and now I can perceive tonka bean and a hint of patchouli. After about 5 hours, the fragrance fades into a gentle base of tonka bean and vanilla, supported by a touch of musk, but it still retains the rum note!

I have to say, this fragrance excites me! After the first test, I sat in a lecture and had to keep sniffing my wrist. I had never smelled this special note in a perfume before, and so the first Eisenberg ended up on my wish list. A very beautiful perfume, but I really find it hard to categorize it.
Sweet? Yes
Gourmand? Definitely!
Oriental? Hmm, yeah
Fresh? I would rather call it "sharp"
Powdery? No
Fruity? Minimal
Spicy? Yeah, not for long, but yes
Aquatic? If the captain has once again looked too deep into his rum barrel, definitely!

By the way, I don't know the Lalique listed here as a twin; unfortunately, no one in the area carries it, and I've had enough of blind purchases for now... Maybe someone has a sample for me, I would be happy :-)

----------------
edit: I was able to test the Lalique now ("Thank you" again, dear Jifat!)
The two are definitely similar, but in Tentation, the rum note is more dominant and sharper. The Lalique is softer, a bit cozier, and more vanilla-like (probably due to the heliotrope).
If I had to choose between the two, I would probably take the Lalique now - simply because the bottle is prettier ;-)

Outrageous to copy Lalique...
When I saw this whole new line from Eisenberg on the Douglas shelf, my first comment was "oh no, the bottles are almost like my beloved Lalique! Then they must smell just as good... tried one - not interesting, tried another... I know this, I know this... oh, Narciso Rodriguez For Her!!! and then Tentation... and ... it can't be true, can it?? Not only the bottle, but also the scent of Lalique!!!! Well, one could expect that, right?? If Mr. Eisenberg liked the bottle so much, he must have tried the fragrance too... and he liked both so much that he "created" it as well ;)))))) If you had both fragrances on different wrists, you could definitely sniff out the difference, but otherwise... well, I am reassured: if Lalique suddenly disappears from the market, there’s still Tentation ;))))

Vanilla on plastic, creamy, sweet, and a bit strange, but then it becomes knee-weakening spicy-vanilla. Very good, probably lasts for days..

Similar to Le Parfum by Lalique.
However, over time, it becomes noticeably flatter.
A quite beautiful floral scent that carries elegance.
