Tea fragrance with an interesting base note
I also really like the Green Tea fragrances by Elizabeth Arden. Every new release I discover gets tested. Thanks to the regular offers at the drugstore with the R, I also own some of the bottles. Sakura Blossom is enticing just because of the beautiful pink and purple flowers on the bottle and the name. One imagines a rather delicate, fresh scent in an Asian style. And that's how I perceive it when wearing it.
Now to the scent: The beginning is briefly alcoholic and then appears very fresh. The mandarin is very noticeable. Bergamot and violet leaf join in, and the fragrance feels green - fresh and leans a bit towards the bitter direction. The green tea is clearly perceptible. I don't pick up much of the flowers. After about 15 minutes, I feel as if I am standing in a garden with a pond and lush vegetation after a fine country rain. It’s still steaming a bit.
I find the scent very natural. Thanks to the rather weak sillage, the perfume remains pleasant, and the bitterness does not take over. The base notes of birch and ambrette seeds provide freshness and, from time to time, also sweet notes as it dries down. Really interesting!
I would almost describe the scent as unisex. I can definitely imagine it on a man as well. For me, this is a summer fragrance for hot days.
