Tea fragrance with an interesting base note
I also really like the Green Tea fragrances by Elizabeth Arden. Every new release I discover gets tested. Thanks to the regular offers at the drugstore with the R, I also own some of the bottles. Sakura Blossom is enticing just because of the beautiful pink and purple flowers on the bottle and the name. One imagines a rather delicate, fresh scent in an Asian style. And that's how I perceive it when wearing it.
Now to the scent: The beginning is briefly alcoholic and then appears very fresh. The mandarin is very noticeable. Bergamot and violet leaf join in, and the fragrance feels green - fresh and leans a bit towards the bitter direction. The green tea is clearly perceptible. I don't pick up much of the flowers. After about 15 minutes, I feel as if I am standing in a garden with a pond and lush vegetation after a fine country rain. It’s still steaming a bit.
I find the scent very natural. Thanks to the rather weak sillage, the perfume remains pleasant, and the bitterness does not take over. The base notes of birch and ambrette seeds provide freshness and, from time to time, also sweet notes as it dries down. Really interesting!
I would almost describe the scent as unisex. I can definitely imagine it on a man as well. For me, this is a summer fragrance for hot days.

Delicate Immersion
With a few exceptions, I really like Green Tea and its variations. Only a few have disappointed me so far. This fragrance is not one of them.

I tested it last year when it hit the market, but I wasn't willing to pay the full price for it. Then I missed out on promotions, but not this time. I skipped a second test, which wasn't tragic, as the purchase was worth it.

The opening is just how I like it: citrusy floral without drifting into dish soap territory or becoming overly floral. I also don't like the so-called cherry blossom notes, which seem too synthetic to me and remind me of my youth in the wild 70s. Even back then, I didn't like them and preferred the better fragrance oils from Amsterdam. A long time ago... The cherry blossom here is a very gentle, slightly powdery thing. With green tea and peony, everything is delicate, but not so much that it gets lost. Rather elegant. The dry down with birch is a bit grassier and slightly bitter due to the musk. All in all, I really like the fragrance.

The longevity is, as always, quite good. But now the true character of the fragrance reveals itself: time and again, you catch a whiff of something different. Sometimes the mandarin, then the tea, then the birch or a hint of jasmine. Always just a little, and then the next scent comes. The fragrance then becomes quite delicate.

Wearing it, you are not the loud lady killer who draws all the attention. Rather, you are an elegant lady who is aware of her worth, presents herself as extraordinary, but does not hide her light under a bushel. Purely cultivated understatement for spring and summer. For autumn and winter, it is too delicate for me and cannot unfold.

Bought this for two friends because of birthdays and both ladies wanted office-safe frags in a clinical setting. Both love it.

Very strong floral, but in a nice way. I can smell that it is cherry blossom a little, and that it is green tea a little, but neither are overwhelming

Fresh, airy, shampoo-like, a tiny bit synthetic. Perfectly inoffensive, ideal for daily wear.

A nice, fresh bore.
Sakura? Only on the bottle.
More like "Blümchen" shower gel. Unremarkable. But it doesn't bother me much.

Smells like a very sour fruit candy might taste. Definitely refreshing in the summer.

much softer and less tea-like than its Cherry Blossom counterpart - I really like it!

Sweet cherry blossom accompanied by white flowers. The tea gracefully takes a back seat. A lovely freshie that always fits.

I’m drinking freshly brewed tea, while the peony blooms in the background. The cherry blossom trees are far, far away.

Pleasant fresh scent. Not overpowering. Unfortunately fades quickly, barely noticeable to others - "Japanese-reserved."

Generic, light floral scent for hot days. Less bitter than the original, slightly aquatic. A crowd-pleaser that won’t bother anyone.
