At 10:30 I could still get a hint of the fragrance.

Strong woody amber at first spray. Reasonable projection (from the standpoint of being able to smell the fragrance on myself). I’m not really getting the vanilla orchid, but I definitely get the cedarwood.

While I do love an amber note, I think I prefer it blended with creamier, more gourmand notes. So while this perfume performed relatively well and is a complex woody amber, I’m not sure it’s really for me.

A clashing note of spicy, woody cedar

I bumped this one up as soon as I saw there was vanilla orchid listed as a note in this perfume. I was a bit wary of the cedar note because I'm not a great fan of woody perfumes, even though my skin tends to enhance these notes. The first few minutes are absolutely amazing. I smelled vanilla orchid: sweet and creamy, with a touch of vanilla. Amber gave it warmth and musk kept everything together.

And then, virginia cedar barreled through the door and overwhelmed everything just like I thought it would. A deep earthy and woody accord that did not fit with the rest and clashed with vanilla orchid. There was no resinous or warm ambery scent. Instead, it's an earthy, woody scent with a deep facet of spiciness. The cedar turns almost acrid on my skin and reminded me of BO. This immediately halted any appreciation I once had of this fragrance. During about an hour, I could sense the creamy, sweet vanilla orchid trying to fight off the woody, spicy notes of cedar. It ends up settling into a woody, spicy and sweet perfume. It's not as bad as it once was, but definitely not to my liking. I have a feeling the scent and the notes could've been more balanced.

The woody, spicy, almost acrid note of cedar is the main thing that turned me off. I have a feeling this fragrance could've been really good, but the fault overall lies with my skin chemistry. I will not be adding this fragrance to my collection.
