Deliciousness

It's juicy pear and powdery marshmallow. A gourmand, fruity, fluffy, sweet deliciousness. Not cloying or harsh, just a happy scent.
I really enjoy this perfume, it has just the right amount of everything. It's a no brainer really but unfortunately it lacks in performance.
But still good enough for a full bottle for me.

Delicious creamy pears

I'm continuing my discovery of the Ellis Brooklyn's house with this perfume. I was a bit wary at first since pears don't always vibe well with my skin, but up until now, the discovery set has vibed well with me.

At first spray, I get powdery pears. Thick, grainy flesh of juicy pears paired with the sting of ambrette that's reminiscent of pepper. It doesn't last long before moving on to a creamy floral scent. Florals are soft and sweet, almost powdery while the marshmallow rises up to mingle with them. Pear does remain at the edge of the fragrance until the end, adding a lovely fruitiness. The drydown is sweet and clean, like a skin scent.

Overall, the perfume is nothing groundbreaking or different, but it's nonetheless a soft, inoffensive scent that's lovely for relaxing or comfort. I won't be adding it to my collection because I crave something more, but I see why it's beloved by many!

Ambrette-heavy dry-down

On my skin, this smells mostly like marshmallow and honey in the opening and middle. Then in dry down, it's purely ambrette - slightly musky, mostly powdery.

It's nice, but the dry down kind of reminds me a little bit of the dry down of Heavenly (2013) Eau de Parfum - just a little sweeter, and not as long lasting.

If you're looking for a slightly sweet, slightly musky "skin scent", you might love this - the ambrette was just a little too pronounced for me.

kinda basic girl offers to share her Swedish Fish

Sweet pear compote dissolves into the clean skin scent that seems to be the backbone of all Ellis Brooklyn perfumes.

She’s the friendly, polite girl you meet at a friend’s birthday party. Non-judgmental, makes you feel at ease and encouraged in conversation, but kind of basic. Very hot in a clean girl way. She’s a Swiftie and she wears Everlane. Obsessed with her cat. Moved to the city with her boyfriend last year. They live on Bedford Ave and they’re paying way too much.

Sweet was become an easy, light go-to for me two summers ago. There’s something to be said for simple likeability.

Sweet, fresh, and creamy

The first thing that impressed me was how realistic the pear note hits in the opening. You can almost taste the gritty pear flesh in full ripeness.

The initial pear smell is not long lasting though. It quickly dies down and you are left with a very sweet but fresh smell. The marshmallow gives a soft creaminess but it's not "sticky-sweet." In fact it smells clean and a bit shampoo-like.

I think this is a very fun, fresh smell. Nice, casual, and sweet.
