Guava Granita Ellis Brooklyn 2025

I'm on the hunt for juicy, tropical perfumes without any coconut in them. When I spotted this one, I decided to go for a travel size blind-buy since the Sephora Spring Sale was on. Here are my impressions!

Not far from "St. Barts | OUAI", we've got this one with the tropical fruit salad theme going on. The beginning is very delicious and mouthwatering. Lip-smacking, juicy guava with a good dose of cantaloup and bananas. Unfortunately, it's a very light, fleeting accord. Small tinge of freshness that slightly clashes with the fruit salad and reminds me of an artifical / synthetic note. After about 5-10 minutes, I sense the sandalwood note reaching from the bottom and trying to steal the spotlight. As it moves on, I start getting more non-descript, muddled fruitiness paired with the rising creamy sandalwood. There's also a smooth, milky and almost creamy almond milk coming up. The drydown becomes very warm, creamy, sweet vanilla with a hint of nuttiness from the almond milk. The drydown is very beautiful and comforting, longer-lasting than what I thought it'd be but I wished the fruit salad had stuck around longer.

Overall it's a very nice fragrance for spring and summer and I'll be keeping my travel size. I don't think I'll be going for a full bottle, since I was hoping for a longer-lasting fruity tropical fragrance, but the beautiful drydown sort of makes up for it (and the drydown sticks to my skin for awhile, something which doesn't always happen with Ellis Brooklyn's fragrances).

this is actually really fun. i prefer it to miami nectar, which ended up with a strangely cheap-cologne-like drydown. i guess i don't really get guava which would reasonably disappoint people - to my nose it's mostly a coconut-banana with some soft florals, plus the almond milk-vanilla base. it's a creamy summer gourmand without heady white florals (and it's much better than kayali sweet banana). might pick up the travel size!

Something about this instantly comes across as synthetic - almost cheap like a body spray - but I weirdly enjoy it here. Maybe nostalgic.

The coconut palm is a standout for me throughout. The sandalwood comes in nicely throughout wear and balances the fruitiness well. This is sweet in a fully tropical way.

Definitely a skin scent after just a couple hours but it stays sweet, fruity, and flirty.

What can I say? Summertime you can wear! I got compliments on this the first day I wore it and it lasted all day at work. It’s sweet and fruity without being overwhelming I smell the guava not so much the banana on my skin. I started with a sample and bought a full bottle before I was even finished. Will be one of my signature summer scents! Can’t go wrong with the price point as well

This is objectively a good fruity-floral but it's also nothing crazy or revolutionary. It smells exactly like you think it would by just looking at the bottle, notes, and marketing. I think you can get very similar scent profiles for half the price. Especially considering the performance is pretty average. You'll get a couple hours of real wear before it vanishes completely, as is the case with most Ellis Brooklyn scents. Overall, pretty generic summery fresh fruity-floral that is generally crowd pleasing.
