The Garden in Florence
unlike the Giardino di Boboli, this fragrance is not dedicated to a garden of the same name in Florence but rather to the overall composition of this perfume.
Now I have the honor of writing the first review for a perfume listed here, and as we already know, I have a fondness for the theme of gardens. And since I am more or less also fond of the oldest pharmacy in Florence, the name of the perfume piqued my curiosity.
In general, I find the aspect that there is also a home fragrance line running parallel to the perfumes, and how they influence each other, interesting.
The scent starts with a fresh green leaf and peppermint that adds a citrus note. I have never smelled anything like this before. Soon, a herbaceous and spicy combination from the base notes of patchouli, oakmoss, and musk joins in. The whole thing is then framed by jasmine and lily of the valley. A truly exciting and unusual combination.
Longevity and sillage could be improved.
I would assign the fragrance more to a man, due to the herbaceous and earthy notes.
All in all, for me, it is a well-crafted and solid piece of work.
There are definitely more polarizing creations from this house, but the question is whether I always want to engage with a fragrance while wearing it.
"Whoever has a garden lives already in paradise."
