Fiore di Cotone Farmacia SS. Annunziata 2021

It's an enchanting fragrance, and I fell in love with it straight away after testing a good fifteen perfumes in stores. The best way to describe it is like putting on a sweater made of clouds, but clouds that have crossed many fields, vanilla, lavender, etc. . It's sweet, not so strong, rather comforting. It really is like a sweet and spring flavored cloud that gives you a hug.

Okay update on the original review (I bought the perfume in march 2024, it's now january 2026) : I still love it, but it's really hard to wear. The smell is amazing, beautiful, but it became a room fragrance for me, and possibly the best room fragrance I ever had, but I do not wear it anymore on me.

I believe that the Fiore di Cotone has been somewhat misrepresented by some YouTubers. It has often been categorized as a fresh laundry scent, which can easily lead one astray. I became aware of it differently: I tested all the shower gels from this brand in a bout of shower gel addiction recovery, as I had experienced with the Reunion Vanilla that it smells almost exactly like its namesake perfume. And it was the same in this case, because after using the shower gel of the Fiore di Cotone and then ordering its bottle, the scent was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, the first bottle arrived a quarter leaked, but I decided to give it a second try.

When you spray the "Fiore di Cotone | Farmacia SS. Annunziata," you are indeed met with that whitewashed, synthetic freshness that one somehow expects from a fragrance that translates to "Cotton Blossom." However, cinnamon and lavender immediately have a say in the matter. Because the cotton blossom being promoted here focuses primarily on the floral aspect, as the scent brings a floral sweet spiciness that pulls it away from the fabric softener charm that so many people seek today. The sweetness may come from the vanilla, but it is not gourmand; rather, it is bright floral, just as I have come to expect from the brand. It doesn’t cling to you and certainly does not come across as feminine.

The surprise with this fragrance is that it dries down to something that I would define on one hand as a clean man cream, but on the other hand could also be perceived as an older gentleman. Not unpleasantly musty or barbershop soap, but there is a certain old-school touch that is countered by the brightness. As simple as the scent seems to be structured, these elements struggle in harmony against the wearer. And when you walk around for ten minutes, it seems the battle is fought with this cleanliness cream with a powdery undertone before it flares up again.

Qualitatively, there is no need to worry with this brand. These seemingly simple ingredients are probably only so exciting because they have been combined so wonderfully. It has a moderate sillage, and the longevity is considerably better. I also like the perfumes from this house because of their unobtrusiveness, without anything dissipating. The Fiore di Cotone is modern, elegant, transformative, quite clean, bright creamy, and floral-musk loving. In one point, I do agree with the YouTubers: you feel really clean when you wear this fragrance!

Fiore di Cotone is a different kind of cleanliness. Rather powdery, slightly sweet. The orange and bergamot come through very well.
I am such a fan of "clean scents." This one doesn't quite go in the direction of "pure cleanliness," but this beautiful powdery aspect makes it "clean" in an extraordinary way.
I absolutely cannot understand why this perfume only has a rating of 6.9. I think this scent definitely deserves a better rating!!!
I find it absolutely top-notch and one should try it if they enjoy powdery and clean fragrances! Fans of Teint de Neige might also like this scent, in my opinion.
