The Art of Subtle Bergamot

Bergamundi opens like a heavy wooden shop door in Florence, behind which cool stone walls store the heat of the day. A ray of sunshine falls on a bowl of freshly sliced bergamots. This is exactly how it begins with its fragrance accords: bright, zesty, and clear - more illuminated than sweet, with that elegant bitterness of the peel. Nothing shrill, nothing shower-gel-like, which I find many fresh bergamot scents unfortunately fail to achieve. In the heart, the citrus note becomes softer, slightly aromatic and refined. The base remains subtly warm and gently woody-musky - like clean, sun-warmed skin. Personally, I find that the scent gives you a real energy boost when you wear it, perfect for a day when you need it. I think it's really great!

First citrusy and later fresh and pure

A refreshing, fresh scent that evokes Mediterranean landscapes. Lime, bergamot, and mandarin remind one of a sunny day in a lemon grove. The fragrance starts zesty, lemony, and ends with a refined freshness. One of the few scents that I prefer in the drydown more than at the beginning. Unisex, available since 2021. What starts as a classic freshie: zesty, herbaceous, and citrusy, evolves into a beautiful, modern, woolly freshness. My first Farmacia fragrance, and for a fresh scent, the longevity is good. A great choice for the office and summer, neutral enough to be worn in a hospital, at a funeral, in nature, or at home. The freshness comes from white musk and the woody sweetness from sandalwood. The opening reminds me of Bergamote Soleil, then it becomes herbaceous, citrusy, woody, and aldehydic in an airy sense. In the end, the base note smells soapy clean to me. From the data sheet, I wouldn't have expected that, as I've never encountered a lemony freshie that took such a turn. I really like the clean creaminess, but one must at least be able to tolerate sandalwood; otherwise, it won't work.

Fresh Opening

Tingly fresh opening.. later flattening out and becoming a bit bitter and somewhat "blood orange peel-like". Quite nice but not really my thing.. For a fragrance with fresh notes, the longevity is quite good.
Still, it was interesting to try it out. It was my first from Farmacia but certainly not the last.
