Persistent!
OK, I admit it. I like powder, I like gourmands, and I like this!

This is truth in advertising: With Talc Gourmand, you get what you pay for ... a powdery gourmand made of high quality ingredients. Moreover, unlike many other high-quality powdery gourmands (the Loukhoums from KM & Montale, Sexy Angelic, others), Talc Gourmand is incredibly persistent and a bit strong. Talc Gourmand is a one-spray & walk-through fragrance. It will stay with you through the day ... and with your clothing and in your bathroom. Frankly, I like fragrances like that: At this price point, I want a fragrance to last, and Talc Gourmand does.

Unfortunately, it's not bottle-worthy for me. There's no development, like you might get with Sexy Angelic, and it's not as well-balanced as, say, the Montales or KMs. Nevertheless, my decant is getting plenty of rotation, and I use Talc Gourmand often as a comfort scent and at bedtime.

But please -- one spray only. Talc Gourmand is a persistent little thing.

Sickly sweet smell
Baby-powder adorned with loads of honey and almonds, after a while a soft vanilla joins in. Sickly sweet and unbearable, without any further development or suprises. Staying-power is tremenduous. Which grown-up woman would want to smell like this? Not my cup of tea.

Marzipan Powder
The sweet-toothed crowd will be pleased, Talc is a dark-sweet marzipan gourmand with a hint of powdery scent, so it's a bit like mixing Cara with Teint de Neige by Villoresi.
Okay, the powder quality doesn't quite do justice to TdN and the powder remains rather subtle in the background, but otherwise, you can imagine it somewhat like that.
At first, I am almost exclusively hit in the face by marzipan with a hint of tonka and chocolate, then Talc becomes more powdery and refined.
So, for marzipan fans, a strong recommendation to test.

The futile search for the powder...
...continues, as there is hardly any powder to be found in the scent, even though it is called TALC Gourmand, I only smell gourmand.

The opening begins liqueur-sweet, very piercing and penetrating, a bit like mushy, fermenting fruit; I suspect the honey, which probably doesn’t make a good combination with the caramel.
A more distinct talc note and just honey might have been nicer.
I don’t find the whole thing powdery at all.
I mean, I can already recognize the chocolate right from the start, fruits with chocolate coating.
And once again marzipan, the same as with Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum Eau Poudrée, where I also had to endure the marzipan overload.
Sniffing at my wrist really evokes a sense of aversion in me, almost disgust.
Every time a hint of powder flashes through, it is immediately overshadowed by the honey-chocolate-marzipan mush.
The chocolate, paired with vanilla and marzipan, somehow gives me a "unwashed," greasy feeling, and I really don’t feel comfortable.
The film scene from 9 1/2 Weeks comes to mind, where Kim Basinger covers herself in all sorts of sweets.
"Powder, where are you?" I continue to ask myself, disappointed.
If there is any powder, it is buried under tons of chocolate, honey, and caramel.
Towards the end, it smells less oppressive, but fluffy-soft like cotton candy; however, the scent is still way too sweet and "marzipan-like" for me.

I once had a doll like that...
...when I was in elementary school, in the mid-80s. It was made entirely of hard plastic, could be fed with water, and also be diapered.

That's exactly how I feel about this perfume on me. A mix of softeners and a bit of baby powder. As much as I loved that doll, this is just too much for me.

A powdery dream with a chocolate scent.. Very very delicious... and especially long-lasting. I don't smell much marzipan here...

Marzipan bomb with a lot of honey. Heavy, sweet, and very powdery. Cara was a thousand times more beautiful. Why did that one have to be discontinued :(

Marzipan, the expensive kind, with a hint of tonka bean, wrapped in a thin layer of dark chocolate, simply irresistible.

Sweet marzipan powder bomb! Very similar to Loukhoum (Mecheri)! One of these is enough in the collection...

I love it, the scent exudes such a lovely chocolatey honey note with powdery heliotrope, it just harmonizes beautifully!

Starts wonderfully chocolatey, similar to Gourmand Coquin, then someone swings open the powder box and my nose shuts down :(

Extremely sweet honey - powdered. If you like sweets, this isn't for you, because you really have to be an ULTRA-sweet fan to handle this.
