Fresh, floral, solid - Is the perfume worth its price?
Thanks to a well-organized sharing, I was able to acquire and test this fragrance some time ago. I found the scent pyramid not spectacular from the beginning, but still interesting and presumably pleasant-smelling.
The initial opinions on this were less positive, which I personally do not share!
I do not agree with the reduction to a toilet freshener or something similar, and it seems a bit too narrow to me.
In fact, I rarely compare fragrances with each other in reviews, but I do recognize noticeable parallels to Orange Flamingo.
And before some people get upset, I am not saying that the fragrances are the same!
There is a significant difference between "identical" and "similar".
Wild Orange can be described quite simply from my perspective.
The fragrance starts with a lot of mandarin, which is indeed of synthetic nature. It could certainly be more authentic, but that does not inherently mean it is bad.
Closely followed by orange blossom and lily of the valley, which is probably why I also associate my thoughts with the scent of Marc Gebauer.
The two components quickly take the helm and noticeably and consistently dominate the scent cloud, which does not mean that mandarin and orange completely disappear from the scene.
I hardly perceive the base notes at all.
Maybe a little patchouli and sandalwood, maybe...
Overall, this is a rather synthetic, fresh-floral fragrance that is unisex wearable.
Whether it is ultimately worth the price is something everyone must decide for themselves.
Like the Gebauer fragrance, this one is also too expensive for what you ultimately get. However, I probably would not turn down a cheap souk offer.
I find the sillage moderate; after 4 hours, the scent noticeably fades on my skin and becomes weaker more quickly.
