Had this, utterly disappointing

I have to preface this by saying that I have loved everything else that Francesca has put out (except for Sex and the Sea Neroli), so I ordered this when I saw it would be all about leather and iris. Or at least, that is how it was advertised but upon receiving it I did not smell any of those notes. The leather in this is a lambskin-like leather, not the typical black leather, brown leather, suede, or any of the more well-known forms that leather typically appears as in perfumery. What this soft leather does accentuate the florals: the narcissus, the heliotrope and the magnolia. The labdanum is also not the typical ambery note we're all familiar with, its sweeter, and refined, honey-like.

Orris/iris doesn't appear to me, not as an earthy peppery note, not as a beta ionone-laden violet facsimile, not as rich, cloud-like iris pallida. I don't know where it's hiding, but not as the forefront or the dry-down or in the heart of this perfume.

This perfume is white and purple florals with honey and I feel that it was mismarketed. Luckily I sold it to a friend who loves it.

Silky Leather - an (un)fulfilled Love

Cuir Soyeux - warm, soft, delicate, demanding, loud, quiet, woody, creamy.
This perfume is so much a typical Bianchi and yet not at all.
Much too bright, too delicate, too wearable, and too good.
The warm powder tickles the nose, followed by a magnificent bouquet of daffodils, magnolias, and plenty of iris. It is spring, and the warming rays of the sun enchant you. Leather gracefully holds back in the background, yet still makes its presence felt and composes a wonderfully evolving scent journey. Later, vanilla joins in, adding so much tenderness and creaminess that it wraps around the wearer like a second skin. It is never animalistic, always wearable, and - beautiful.
This scent craves the attention of its wearer. So often my nose wanders back to my wrist, I take a deep breath and close my eyes. This fragrance fascinates me, captivates me, and transports my thoughts. To a place full of silk, heavy powder resting on flowers, full of warmth and grace. At the same time, it reminds me of my mother's fresh leather bags, which always contained some blush, powder, and lipsticks, a little childhood memory, so to speak.
This Bianchi also has considerable longevity and is still perceptible on my skin the next day. But it projects differently - it is quieter. Naturally noticeable but not loudly screaming, rather playfully whispering and enveloping.
Francesca designed this scent exclusively in 2019 for the 10th anniversary of Parfum Lounge and is said to have recreated the stylish cool feeling of silk on bare skin with the main notes of iris and leather. The fragrance is self-described as: "A decadent high dosage of iris. A dash of powdery sparkle created by heliotropin and musk, a voluptuous flirtiness by precious magnolia and narcissus rounded up by an overdose of labdanum, vanilla and sandalwood resulting in a creamy, warm, and slightly dirty base."
I love Francesca's creations because they provoke, are different, because so many people cannot relate to them. She is far from the mainstream, and I admit that I find that great. Cuir Soyeux definitely fits into her compositions but is at the same time as soft as none of her other fragrances.
My heart aches a little when I think that this scent will never be in my collection, so I keep my small sample, which in my eyes is the most valuable.
A perfume that has enchanted me so much, a scent I am inexplicably in love with. Do I revere this fragrance because I know I will never have it? Is it the fascination of unfulfilled desire?

Maybe you will appear again someday - even if it is unlikely, for now, I cling to this hope and continue to wear you where you belong - on my skin and in my heart.

Addendum: My wonderful fiancé found and bought a bottle on eBay after a long search, even though the price has risen significantly due to the limitation. After a few small tears have been shed, my early Christmas gift can now take its place on my perfume shelf. :)

A Dangerous Lady

Unsweet iris with fine leather - after the first spray. Then it changes, sweetens slightly and still lets me smell it. I become addicted ... The feminine phenomenon is excellent, I wonder how it smells on men?
It draws you in while keeping its distance. I feel a kind of plastic tone in it that attracts me so much in Ford's Fucking Fabulous. Still, it is Francesca - typical, yet atypical. An elegant lady you must keep your distance from.
