Oatmeal cookie
Warm, nutty, a little sweet, warm spice. Very comforting despite the pepper. I've been on the hunt for a woody/spicy without patchouli. I'm obsessed with the walnut note and am being precious with my sample as I waffle on a full bottle or not. I definitely want to try more from this line, as the notes from their other perfumes sound just as decadent and unique.

Solidly Unusual
The bad news: I was not prepared for the absolute firehose to the face of black pepper in the opening. I enjoy a pepper note but was momentarily overwhelmed by just how strong it was.

The good news: the pepper fades in about 10 minutes, replaced by a fleeting, softly spiced iris heart that is almost immediately replaced by the nutty vetiver base.

The great news: the real star of the show here is that nut accord. It’s reminiscent of the scent that rises as you chop walnuts — warmly nutty with a slightly dusty edge. It lends the fragrance a sense of solidity and confidence, and mixed with the vetiver and a hint of cedar it turns surprisingly cozy, like wearing a comfy old sweater you found in a winter cabin.

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do — I couldn’t stop burying my face in my wrists all day just to get another hit of that comforting yet unusual base.

Projection and longevity are both moderate, and although unisex it leans slightly to the masculine coded side of the scale.

WAIT AND HOPE: A BITTERSWEET ODE TO VETIVER
“Attendre & Espérer” is French for “Wait and Hope.” It’s the final line from The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, carrying a quiet sense of endurance, longing, and bittersweet resilience. Those emotions, felt deeply by the character, seem to echo in the very fabric of this fragrance. I enjoyed this scent. There’s a restrained warmth to it, like a memory of home or something comforting you can almost touch, but never quite hold. The bittersweet mood of the phrase mirrors the bittersweet scent.

It opens with a soft touch of sweetness — caramel-cookie undertones, with a sharp burst of black pepper. A bitter walnut note follows, earthy and dry, adding an intriguing twist. That fleeting warmth vanishes quickly, giving way to the real heart of the fragrance: vetiver.

The vetiver is peppery, rooty, dry, bitter, and nutty — a full expression of the material’s rugged beauty. Cedar stays quietly in the background, adding structure without ever taking focus.

The fragrance leans masculine. It’s solid and composed, never loud or flashy.

A very interesting take on the vetiver, where the juxtaposition of caramel and bitter vetiver creates a complex balance. The walnut / nutty notes further enhance the vetiver’s texture, adding depth, and making the overall composition feel multidimensional.

Cookies from my youth
This is so strange but so nice
The start is like a cookie smell.
When i was young my mom made some cookie and the smell was all day long this smell at home. So sweet and strong caramel, than later cardamom and pepper hits up. And the smell changes to topical dark men’s perfume
Its really good not 2 strong and not 2 soft. I guess its ok for a men of 40+ age.

Bittersweet, vetiver-centric fragrance—peppery & dry. The caramel is a clever twist, adding just enough sweetness to temper the sharp edges.

Nutty caramel opening that turns into spicy, woody mothball. Oddly comforting like embracing an old forgotten coat in a wardrobe

I'm waiting and hoping too, but in vain, for caramel & iris. Fresh-citrusy, green vetiver scent with a cleaning product vibe.

Well-known postmodern vetiver reminiscent of Encre Noire. Here with a green breeze & a gourmand hint of nutty salted caramel. Stays straight & masculine.

Opening: Nuts + cardamom + salted caramel.
Everything undefined. Then a bit of vetiver, lemon, pepper, Atlas cedar. Background dry iris. H/S weak.

Lemon, pepper, iris, cedar. Not sweet. The herbal notes are unrecognizable; in the drydown, it just smells like forgotten xMAS nuts, H&S mediocre.
