Jasmine Orchestra
This was my first fragrance that broke the three-digit Euro mark. Sample after sample, I managed to snag at the counter until they eventually ran out (not because of me!! No, no!).
The compassionate, nice saleswoman then recommended the cheaper refill (oh, is that available??) and with a coupon combo, it finally moved in with me.....without Amethyst on the cap, but still as a Vapo. Great!
For me, it has been an experience since the first spray. A complex assault, a rush, a wave of fragrance, a rollercoaster ride! A tape that has not 20, but 200 tracks, all playing at once right from the start. It starts off with a loud, sultry bang. After that, it gradually calms down and becomes very floral but still quite "loud." Everything sounds slightly old-fashioned - reminiscent of an elegantly dressed older lady listening to an orchestra while sitting in a blooming old English rose garden.
Truly an Eclat! The jasmine pumps through it, first subtly, then increasingly prominent, gradually brightening and dominating everything.
The woody-warm-spicy finish captures the jasmine-dominated essence and rounds it off very harmoniously - and this fine floral-woody note then lingers almost unchanged for hours.
For me, a very successful composition that initially seems powerful but develops in a coherent and finely complex manner.
Why not 100%? Well, for me, this is a fragrance for special days and occasions, not an everyday scent that you can casually throw on like your favorite coat. This, on one hand, distinguishes it, but at the same time makes it a scent that I enjoy with caution, as it can sometimes annoy me during the day.
In the end, I don't want to withhold that it has proven to be indispensable for me in another way: as a sleep aid. One spray on the wrist and I immediately drift off and sleep deeply until the next morning. I have no idea why it has such a calming effect on me - actually, a criterion for my purchase decision back then was that it would enchant not me, but the male world, laying their hearts, the world, and other things at my feet.
Now it enchants me - as a beloved fragrance for special moods and as my most expensive sleep aid.
