A visionary
The vision of beauty comes with all different perspectives as she does. Soft powdery floral undertones and such a magical set of notes dancing among eachother. this is one that needs to be smelled first. I assume also smelling different on each sort of skin type. I get more spices from the Anise seed and mixture of greenery. it smells a bit like Christmas and cloves to my nose but once it starts to dry down i smell more powdery purple florals. Fleeting pretty quickly but still a treat if you manage to get your hands on the extrait.

Fantastic Fragrance Riddles and Where to Solve Them
On Parfumo, of course. Yes, thanks to the lovely Marieposa, I was actually able to solve one of my fragrance riddles. I am a bit shy when it comes to approaching people about scents. I dared to speak to the lovely waitress with Sì. But with her, a very kind older lady whom I keep meeting at the bakery in the mornings, I hadn’t mustered the courage until now. Even though her fragrance has fascinated me since we first met. A fine nose simply does not miss a beautiful perfume. I have never considered it my scent, this beautiful classic she wears, but I am always delighted when I catch a whiff of it from her. Or just in the street. I can always smell her fragrance when she has been around. She lives a few houses down from the bakery.

I almost always pick up my rolls in the morning after my workout. Well, I actually always felt a bit silly asking her about her wonderful, noble scent when we stood together in the bakery. Me in my sweaty running clothes, with a bright red face after ten kilometers that I ran at high speed.

I had been waiting for the moment when we would meet outside. When I would be dressed decently, freshly showered, and smelling nice myself. But my dear Marieposa was simply quicker this time. Because today, I recognized her scent at the first sniff. Apres L’Ondee Extrait de Parfum. Vintage. I have no idea how many bottles she has stashed away. She wears it every day. Even in summer, with her flip-flops. That fits perfectly, of course. She has probably been wearing it since she was a young girl.

Besides the fine flowers, the delicate powderiness, and a hint of green that never came across as harsh to me, I have always noticed a delightful musk note. A musk note that I only know in a similar form from my vintage Cašmir. The scent is absolutely classic and does not deny the time it comes from in any way. It has a fine soapiness and at the same time a beautiful iris powder note. Bright and inviting. So very different from many of these classics that often repel me with too much animalic notes rather than attract me. I almost saw them as more suited to men than to women due to the leather or other, somewhat dirtier notes. This scent did not do that. A fragrance like a smile, like a hug. Almost cozy, even though that doesn’t really fit with scents from that era. Here, I think one can interpret it that way.

Now I am just as happy as can be and hope that my other fragrance riddle about the legendary men's scent will also be solved one day. Although, should I come across it again, I would approach the wearer IMMEDIATELY. Even in sweaty running clothes. I swear!

Thank you, my dear Marieposa. After this experience, I also think a bit differently about the topic of hoarding. Maybe it’s better to stash away an extra little bottle of the discontinued favorite here and there? It doesn’t hurt.

The Last Shirt
She was young, in her early 20s. As a state-certified beautician, she nervously started her first job at an established private perfumery.
Once a week was "store day," when she sold.
She was allowed to participate in training sessions, including fragrance training, and of course, she was also introduced to the history of some, fewer Guerlain scents.
She enjoyed selling them, but was puzzled by the musty, old-fashioned smell of some of these noble creations...
"I’m probably just too young for this," she admitted to herself, thus leaving a door open for the "musty smell," meaning these masterpieces...
Many, many years passed, more perfumeries came along, and then a big job: mother of 3 children.
Time and again, she bought herself a fragrance. She needed it; it was like a life elixir for her, which could not be replaced by anything, not even the noblest, purest essential oils! Often, she would simply go to her cabinet, open it, look at the boxes and bottles, smell them, or apply a little... she was in another world. Detached from time, space, and stress.
Again, many years passed... with a bit more time, the children were older, she came to Parfumo.
Her memory awakened, and she thought to herself: "if only I could SMELL an old original of L’heure bleue or even this legendary Après l’ondée just ONCE..." she almost added, "and then I could die" - but that was of course out of the question... because then you wouldn't smell anything anymore...
"ALO is nowhere to be found anymore, forget it! And you will never get to the others either!"
Until suddenly a very special Parfuma offered a sharing! This couldn't be possible!!!
An Après l’ondée extrait from the 1940s!!!!!!!
She tried with all her might to wake up from this beautiful dream - but it didn’t work at all. Apparently, she wasn’t sleeping at all...
The wait for the package transported her back to the Christmases of her childhood. Then came the gift-giving.
Reverently, she opened the little bottle, poured a tiny amount into a smaller bottle, and applied the fragrance...

She doesn’t dare to analyze it. There are other people who can do that wonderfully; she can only FEEL this scent.
At first, she finds it incredibly floral in the top note, as if it had just been freshly made - no trace of "old" in the usual sense.
No! It is very "light," like that freshness that comes from the rain-soaked air, while also being warm and deep - absolutely balanced, round, enormous!
A floral scent that never comes off heavy or cloying, but also not thin. It is underlined by a seemingly endless vanilla base that "blows" her away with emotion, reverence, and enthusiasm! The REAL MUSK remains delicately forever on the skin; when you breathe on it, it rises, combined with the powdery, beautiful iris, gently sweet even when the scent seems to have disappeared.
This is absolutely a complete work. A materialization from fantasy, the creation itself (in the form of nature), dreams, and the love that Jaques Guerlain carried within him.
That she gets to experience this TRULY, she finds incredibly beautiful.
For this, she has almost given her "last shirt," as she chose the largest available quantity, and now there are no special purchases anymore... but:
THIS is absolutely worth it!!!

Thanks to the dear Parfuma who made this possible for me! You have fulfilled a dream for me!
And thanks to you all who have written statements here and brought me to participate in this wonderful sharing!!!! What a great platform Parfumo is!!!!

What a beauty! Fuller and softer than the EdT. Melancholic floral accord, becomes powdery and a bit sweeter, more corporeal. Great!

She smiles through her tears, the beautiful, violet iris, comforted by clove. She floats, feeling fresh strength for the time after the rain.

Freshness, lightness, delicate buoyancy, yet the petals hang low and their nectar drips sweetly onto the wet leaves and earth.

Creamy-powdery iris bomb with a fresh burst. Relatively linear but still complex. Occasionally fluffy carrot cake. I see the color violet.
