Vacation in the Maldives with Papas Credit Card Feeling ;)
Hard to believe, but it's actually been 11 months since I wrote my last review here on Parfumo! At that time I was still in California studying for my Master's degree and pretty busy. In the meantime, I'm back in Germany and successfully completed my Master's degree this month, so now I have a bit more time left before work starts again. All the more I am happy that I can dedicate this comment to a great fragrance from Guerlain, which I have in common with a dear perfumer. Whenever I wear it, I think of her :-) She has also been wanting a text from me about this for a while now, and I would now like to comply with her request.

With the La Petite Robe Noire series, it seems, Guerlain, which was founded in 1828 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain in Paris, wants to address the broad younger generation, which has probably found less access to fragrances such as L'Heure Bleue or Jicky, and perhaps does not even know them. With the exception of La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Pétales, the La Petite Robe Noires are cherry or berry-based and quite sweet across the board. From my perspective, however, scents like smoky black tea, almond, or even leather give these fragrances a special twist that makes them stand out from the "sweet and berry" category, in which there really is no shortage of perfumes.

La Petite Robe Noire Hippie Chic is, first of all, quite similar to the original La Petite Robe Noire. However, it seems a little lighter, softer, more lovely and also powdery. The licorice note of the original is missing, which pleases me very much. Immediately after spraying it on, I am greeted by a juicy fresh black cherry, underpinned by a delicate and soft rose scent and as if dusted with powdered sugar. As the fragrance progresses, it becomes softer and powderier, the tonka bean emerges more and more and the sweetness recedes. This gives the scent a gourmand character that is fortunately not marked by a sticky sweetness, but is finely balanced. I can't smell out the black tea here. The durability is very good with 2 days on the skin.

From the effect I find the hippie chic feminine, playful, and very apart in expression. For some reason pushes me the image of a young lady who comes from a wealthy family and grew up sheltered. Of course, 500 euros pocket money a month in the 10th grade, Tiffany bracelet, and Louis Vuitton bag on her lap. Good for her, if only she wouldn't say ignorant things like: "If you don't have a job, you're just too lazy to work" and "400 Euro a month are enough to live on" in social science class, topic "Social Inequality in Germany" (in reference to Hartz IV). Whereas the same person then tells the story of how, on holiday in the Maldives, 1000 euros were spent in one night with the father's stolen credit card. The amount was subsequently refunded by the bank, since the person concerned at the time was demonstrably not in the Maldives.

But joking aside, I find the hippie chic very nice and am happy to have it in the collection for about a year now. There I also do not want to miss it at all. I find it great for evenings and special occasions. To wear it "just so" during the day I would find it a little out of place. Then I prefer to reach for fresher and lighter fragrances.

If some readers now have the impression that wearing this fragrance could make someone seem ignorant, I would like to take this worry away from them. Not at all. And of course I have not eaten the wisdom with spoons. I'm just a Düsseldorf vernissage-goer who thinks everything she doesn't understand is art ;) To quote a well-known cabaret artist, who unfortunately retired a few years ago. From him also comes: "Cabaret is a kind of modern indulgence trade. The bad left conscience jumps out of the fire when the money rings in the cabaret box office."

But back to the topic at hand: vive La Petite Robe Noire hippie chic!

Delicious cherry liquor scent
Wow am I the 1st review in here? Yes this perfume not popular because its new and didnt marketing much. But I enjoy it so much. Cherry liquor lovers need try this. Cherry is way too much better in here than original la petite robe noire. Its delicious smell for me. Tea leaves gives it fresh, calm effect. My boyfriend liked too, he is barman and he likes boozy scents. Spring/summer light but not too light great girly young smell. Not the type of Victoria's Secret Bombshell. Reminds me my Escada Cherry in the air (Limited edition) which one I use in highschool.
