Musk Aria
Heeley's latest release (2021) was presented as an airy rose with an oriental base. Sadly, it fails to impress.
The dewy green notes in the opening do develop into a fresh garden rose, but only to be overshadowed by a hefty load of musk. This bothers me as the musk does not feel as light and airy as it promised to be. It takes a few hours for the woody/ambery base notes to come through and support the musk. In all stages, the sillage is modest.
The scent is not very far from those typical rose/saffron combinations with a medicinal maybe middle-eastern undertone. Not quite what I was hoping for with this rose composition.
