Beethoven gets applause...
According to the notes, I thought this fragrance would be a perfect match for me as a big iris lover.. But that wasn't the case..
The scent is overall quite old-fashioned, although it appears beautiful and elegant. For me, there are 2 types of iris fragrances. The more modern iris, where other notes make the iris soft and creamy, and the super old-fashioned iris scent, which immediately brings to mind images of ladies from Beethoven's time. The ladies all wear white wigs and are heavily powdered.. They all laugh artificially and applaud after each piece of music.. In this fragrance, unfortunately, the women admiring Beethoven while he plays take center stage..
What I really can't stand is the buttery smell.. It makes me feel slightly nauseous. This is probably because iris butter was used here, which unfortunately comes through very clearly.. I can only smell the lily of the valley subtly. Sadly, it is completely overshadowed by the very pronounced buttery note.. A little bit of the pink pepper note saves the fragrance because it adds a certain spiciness.. So, significant deductions in the A note..
When I think about the price, I am very surprised that I have to give this expensive fragrance almost a flat zero in terms of sillage.. Projection is also weak.. I have to smell directly on my hand to perceive the scent.. Which, in this case, is a good thing.. So, catastrophic B notes..
My bank account is happy because this fragrance cannot move in with me...
